In order to make the Union Budget-making process participative and inclusive, the Ministry of Finance has sought inputs from citizens for the last several years. This year too, the Ministry looks forward to hearing from you on your suggestions for the Union Budget which will be presented in the Parliament in the upcoming session.

Citizens from all walks of life are welcome to be a part of this democratic exercise. You can submit your suggestions either directly in the comments box or attach a PDF document.

We seek your valuable ideas to continue the tradition of the Union Budget incorporating the citizens’ aspirations. The last date for submissions on this forum is 20th June 2019.

Respected Madam,, We came to know that the government is inviting suggestions for Union Budget 2019 from the public. First of all , We appreciate the government and Finance Ministry on taking this decision. Let us share my few suggestions/ideas that have been in our mind for so long.

Tighter labour laws. Most labor commissioners are encouraging for external settlement unofficially and most companies are hiring without requirement to show high people hours to clients and laying off when project closes.

Dear Sir/Madam, The provision of section 80c is rightly kept as this acts as an incentive to save. This is understandable because money is often needed in many situations including the old age when income shrinks and expenses increase, especially related to health. But keeping this provision for even senior citizens? This is the age when savings of young age are utilized; it is very unfair to expect an old person to save in order to get benefit of section c, save for what? Please be more human.

Compulsory adoption of online processes for any application (industry, property, shop, companies) with process management tools. If registration is delayed for x days, higher up are notified. ERP tools are widely used in pvt sector.

A new scheme by the Title EEE (ENTREPRENEUR ,ECONOMY,ENVIRONMENT)SCHEME in which government may give unused lands to the cultivators who are interested for plantation and other eco- friendly herbs/shrubs.The entrepreneurs may develop through this scheme by financial investment or strategic investment in association with such cultivators.The income derived from such cultivation shall be tax free .However they have to pay lease rentals to the government.Further investments are also tax free.

Sin tax on very high value purchases - anything on more than Rs1crore or Rs2crore. This should compensate for lower taxes on LIG and MIG.

Madam, Demand Notices for non payment of TDS, interest & penalty are being issued by TDS Department in lots even for more than 12-13 years back without verifying their records by the TDS Department, which is very much harassing for the poor assessees, who had not maintained old records and thereby have to pay double payments, even for payments, which had already been made by them on due dates.

Higher road tax for very high engine capacity vehicles Compulsory toll tag for all vehicles - now even distant relatives of cousins of friends of any political party do not pay toll and almost every day there are issues. Only we tax paying citizens are paying tolls.
