One of the key priorities of the Government is to provide a non-adversarial and a responsive tax administration with the main objective of creating an environment conducive for achieving higher investments and growth. At the same time the focus is also on ensuring ease of doing business for the taxpayers. For individual taxpayers, Government endeavours to promote voluntary compliance by making compliance easy and reducing the cost of compliance for the taxpayers. These steps are aimed to ultimately result in buoyant revenue collections, reflecting higher growth, leading to higher standard of living and better quality of life for the citizens.

The Department of Revenue invites taxpayers and general public to provide innovative ideas and suggestions on tax policy and administrative issues with the objective of ease of doing business and reducing compliance cost for industries thereby facilitating buoyancy of revenue and increase in investment leading to higher growth.

Govt does not have to search for out-of-the-box innovative ideas on tax policy and administration. It should start the search from its archives and show political will to implement deliberately overlooked recommendations of numerous panels including Finance Commissions. An obvious case in point is surcharge and cess, whose proliferation can rival the reproductive capacity of dogs and pigs. The first step to simple, stable and credible tax policy should be zero tolerance for add-on taxes.

More deduction should be allowed to individuals under section 80C for investing fund. More fund should be allocated to defence sector and education sector. More benefits to families of our different forces who protect us and spend their life at -50℃ temperature. Our education system is one of the world's weakest systems. Students study here to get only degrees rather than for doing something. Skill India one of the nicest plan. Invent any plan to grab blakmoney from people in India.

Sir, our policies should be in favour of poor people. Your indirect tax policies creates burden for general people. You should collect more tax from companies who earns profit rather than increasing taxes in individuals. Your gas subsidy giveitup policy is really unfavorable for public. You can collect taxes from diffrent sources so why do you hold your eyes in people's kitchen for small subsidy amounts? Don't increase tax burden on necessaries of life rather than collect on necessities.

there are not much tax exemption options available to salaried person. I would like to suggest one option to be included under different section. Rs. 50000 exemption should me given on the spending for books purchase. sources of books (stores/websites etc) can be identified and fixed by government itself. categories of books also can be defined. Please think and implement this option.

Dear FM Sir, I would like to bring your attention to a case which prohibits to avail full tax exemption on the Housing Property investment as the Real Estate Builders are not completing the project within 3-year mandate term. I invested in a property which is not delivered by the Builder though more than 4 years passed by now, thus cannot benefit tax exemption on the interest payment upto 2 Lakhs. Could you please amend the IT law to punish such Builders and extend the tax benefit to buyers?

TO DAYS MAIN CONCERN IS POLLUTION CONTROL. FOR THIS ALL TAX PAYERS CAN BE PERMITTED TO PURCHASE ONE ACRE OF LAND IN DRY/ BACKWARD AREAS AND CAN PLANT PERRINIAL TREES. IF THEY SUBMIT THE PROOF FROM THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES FOR ENGAGING IN SUCH ACTIVITY 10% DEDUCTION FROM THEIR EXISTING INCOME MAY BE CONSIDERED IN THIS BUDGET

Banks and other institutions charge Service Tax etc levied by Govt very royally. I don't disagree to Pay but in return when I see what's done on ground is 0. My Humble suggestion that if you make a provision for this in Indirect tax system rather then directly collecting the same from Tax Payer. If I get Rebet or Deduction on all type of interest and ST paid to Banks this will help reduce burden on my pocket. Based on interest earned banks show huge profits
