The Central Government Ministries/ Departments and Central Public Sector Undertaking are mandated to procure 25% (as amended in 2018) of their annual value of goods or services from micro and small enterprises vide Public Procurement Order Notified vide S.O. 581 (E) dated 23rd March 2012. Under the policy, 358 items are exclusively reserved for procurement from MSEs which help in the promotion and growth of Micro and Small Enterprises and play a critical role in fostering inclusive growth in the country.

The existing list required a relook to find out the relevance in the present-day context of technological change, and the growth of small and micro enterprises. The Internal Technical Committee of the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises has prepared a revised list of 469 items (including Goods & Services) to be reserved for exclusive procurement from MSEs.

Stakeholders, Industries associations, MSME units and the General public are invited to share their suggestions and comments on the list of 469 items reserved for exclusive purchase from MSEs under the Public Procurement Policy.

Payment collection is important . can govt think of 1 -2% of GST collected as fund for default of honest traders. Like they have done with EXIM. Y can't the same be done for domestic trade. The defaulters punished for deterrence. Their has to be calculated risks. Ditto for stock investments. Has the govt done anything to prevent #ponzi . what are the deterrence in place. the fund can be used for ponzi victims. Bankers reschedule loan even unsecured for big names. They don't do it for MSMEs and secured loans . The education loan mafia and all the maliks of india thukiyas exempted from payment . who suffers . GST collection is huge now 3x of original break even ! y is it that the consumers r not benefitting by reduction . all payouts to maliks 0/100 toppers da+paycommissions+ bonus India has always been worse than twitter 90% surplus staff ++ the loot vasooli of >GDP/year carry on . all of the burden on honest. does govt have any plans to change this?. what are the deterrents.

It's a very good initiative of government to take these products from msme's but government should also ensure the quality and efficacy of products so that there is a healthy competition among the companies. Government should also tell the msme's about their product quality.
