To address the growing concerns in the present Accreditation and Ranking systems of the Government of India had constituted a High-Level Committee. This Committee considered the introduction of strategic reforms consistent with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the need for adopting a simple, trust-based, objective and rationalized system for approval, accreditation and ranking of Higher Educational Institutions with a verifiable and secured centralised database through technology-driven modern systems. Methodologies for facilitating Ease of Doing Business for the stakeholders, duly facilitating students in making more informed choices for selection of institutions/ programmes were also considered by the Committee.

After a series of deliberations, a High-Level Committee has submitted its draft Report on ‘Transformative Reforms for Strengthening Periodic Assessment and Accreditation of All Higher Educational Institutions in India’ to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In light of this, MyGov, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, seeks feedback and suggestions from all the stakeholders for the finalisation of the report.

This report has now been placed in the public domain until 15th July 2023.

Standardization of Assessment Criteria: Develop a standardized set of assessment criteria that cover key areas such as curriculum quality, faculty qualifications and performance, infrastructure and facilities, research output, student support services, and institutional governance. These criteria should be designed to ensure quality and excellence across all institutions. Stakeholder Engagement: Involve various stakeholders, including students, alumni, employers, and the local community, in the assessment process. Their feedback and perspectives can provide valuable insights into the quality of education and the institution's impact on society. Encourage Continuous Improvement: Emphasize the importance of continuous improvement by requiring institutions to develop and implement action plans based on assessment outcomes. These plans should address identified weaknesses and focus on enhancing the overall quality of education and institutional performance.

Here's my views, The proposed reforms for higher education in India are commendable. To ensure quality, the accreditation and ranking system should focus on outcome-based education, faculty development, and incorporate feedback from alumni and employers. Collaboration and interdisciplinarity should be encouraged, along with transparency and public disclosure of performance metrics. Inclusivity, diversity, and continuous improvement should also be prioritized. Implementing these measures will enhance education quality, foster innovation, and prepare students for the future. furthermore do work on not the System of corruption the one who deserve aren't getting that at the same those who are paying good money are getting the same without any Hardwork, there's no mean of it these degrees and graduation which comes in our hand this way..

the periodic assessment of the educational institute n other educational programs and activities, is a good idea for all states.the annual assessments for teaching skill, teaching aid, teaching infrastructure equipments, and at last teaching output in the students,is very important for national integration. what's going on in the system for the nation/against the nation? it is observed, that something going wrong in educational institutions. why the youngs are distracting from their moral duties, their own culture. it is a serious matter .
