To address the growing concerns in the present Accreditation and Ranking systems of the Government of India had constituted a High-Level Committee. This Committee considered the introduction of strategic reforms consistent with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the need for adopting a simple, trust-based, objective and rationalized system for approval, accreditation and ranking of Higher Educational Institutions with a verifiable and secured centralised database through technology-driven modern systems. Methodologies for facilitating Ease of Doing Business for the stakeholders, duly facilitating students in making more informed choices for selection of institutions/ programmes were also considered by the Committee.

After a series of deliberations, a High-Level Committee has submitted its draft Report on ‘Transformative Reforms for Strengthening Periodic Assessment and Accreditation of All Higher Educational Institutions in India’ to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In light of this, MyGov, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, seeks feedback and suggestions from all the stakeholders for the finalisation of the report.

This report has now been placed in the public domain until June 22, 2023.

Develop a ‘Unified Elicitation Tool’ to collect the superset of data from HEIs for the varied purposes (of approval, accreditation, scoring/ranking) with in-built design for collateral cross-checking to check authenticity of data and, in conjunction with it, introduce maximally the technology-driven modern systems, to replace the existing manual/hybrid systems of assessment and accreditation thereby minimising subjectivity and enhancing transparency and credibility. The ‘One Nation One Data Platform’ may be upgraded to a robust architecture

and then seek information from the HEIs that are appropriate to their category (rather than a one-size-fits-all model in vogue currently). The classification proposed is: 1. Multi-disciplinary Education and Research Intensive 2. Research-Intensive 3. Teaching-Intensive 4. Specialised Streams 5. Vocational and Skill-Intensive 6. Community Engagement & Service. There is also a category of Heritage and Legacy Old and Established Institute as well as New and Upcoming Institute.

The reform process was eventually thought through and narrowed down to a set of recommendations contained in the report. It calls for simplification of the Accreditation process, especially for the first cycle, and bring down periodicity for Re-accreditation to three years. Existing stipulation for annual re-approvals (by AICTE for technical educational programmes) could be done away with, if the scope of programme does not alter significantly. Include all HEIs and every programme in the newly proposed assessment and accreditation system, with due regard for their statutory dispensations (e.g. IITs). Consider the heterogeneity of HEIs in the country, categorise them based on their orientation/vision and heritage/legacy,

more simplified “accredited, awaiting accreditation and not accredited” system should replace the present eight-point grading system of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for higher education institutions, a government panel has recommended.

Respected sir, 20 Bi-cycle stand for rental at METRO STATION: All over india at all metro station out side, both the side create minimum 20 Bi-cycle stand (automatic or with men ) this will help commuters to go outside at least minimum distance and return the cycle at stand.

Honourable PM ji my Greetings to you and Congratulations 🎊 for the successful inauguration of our Parliament New Building which is a milestone achievement in the Indian History, amongst several negativities around and shall keep reminding all Indians and their future generations of how a great man once again showed to the world the greatness of the indian democratic process and its successful outcome. A moment of pride for every Indian except the pseudo Indians. However I would like to direct your attention to the inflation that is eating up the savings of the common man and could be a major hindrance for the 2024 elections as a few Indians wish hard that you win the 2024 elections. Also one more issue faced by the party as a whole is that the BJP party people should learn to handle issues in better way maintaining standardsand not creat anenvironment of violence or anarchy relating toHindutva or any other communal issue.Theymust maintain peace and showmaturity in handling issue

The report of the Overarching Committee constituted by Ministry of Education in November 2022 under the chairmanship of Dr. K. Radhakrishnan Chairman BoG, IIT Kanpur & Chairperson, and Standing Committee of IIT Council was made public on May 12 for consultation. The report has a an inbuilt timeline of targets for movement of this consultation with the all-important TRANSITION to new accreditation The committee noted the low level of willingness of HEIs to volunteer for this process continues to be a cause of concern. “Aside the plurality of all-encompassing information (much of which may not be completely applicable for diverse categories of HEIs), as well as the cumbersome and tiresome process for collection of the information sought by these agencies (that too at different periodicity), there are concerns on subjectivity in the processes, and inconsistencies between assessment by different agencies,” the report mentions.The reform process was eventually thought through and narrowed
