To address the growing concerns in the present Accreditation and Ranking systems of the Government of India had constituted a High-Level Committee. This Committee considered the introduction of strategic reforms consistent with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the need for adopting a simple, trust-based, objective and rationalized system for approval, accreditation and ranking of Higher Educational Institutions with a verifiable and secured centralised database through technology-driven modern systems. Methodologies for facilitating Ease of Doing Business for the stakeholders, duly facilitating students in making more informed choices for selection of institutions/ programmes were also considered by the Committee.

After a series of deliberations, a High-Level Committee has submitted its draft Report on ‘Transformative Reforms for Strengthening Periodic Assessment and Accreditation of All Higher Educational Institutions in India’ to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In light of this, MyGov, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, seeks feedback and suggestions from all the stakeholders for the finalisation of the report.

This report has now been placed in the public domain until June 22, 2023.

Please reduce red Tapism and make your executive facilitator. Actually we are experiencing the worst ever inspector raj and bribes have become an accepted new norm. Can there be any mechanism to periodically assess entire family of bureaucrats and investigate their ill gotten wealth.

Today our leading institutes don’t even rank in top 100 of the world. We must remember our heritage that when Cambridge or Massachusetts or Oxford or any other were born our Nalanda and Takshashila universities were the best in the world. Instead of demonizing the Khiljee who burnt those universities, our leaders have glorified him. Unlearning the obsolete is equally important like accreditation of new.

1- knowledge about our indian philosophy or thinker rather than western thinker or political thinker 2- increase the no. of active activity no only theoretical data 3- knowledge not for only the marks purpose but also for increase the knowledge 4- proper inpection in colleges 5- free and fair exams 7- focus on indian cultural and indian books

This will help ensure that diverse perspectives are considered and that the reforms address the needs and expectations of all stakeholders. • Quality Assurance: Stress the need for robust quality assurance mechanisms. The report should propose measures to enhance the quality of education, such as rigorous assessment processes, accreditation standards, faculty development programs, and infrastructure improvements.

To integrate the youth of the country and to promote interaction between the various states, student exchange programmes should be made compulsory in all schools across the country. Children from a very young age should be made aware of our diversity and feel a sense of pride about it. They should realize that this diversity is our strength, not a weakness or liability

UGC or central government agencies should conduct all India teachers selection for all the higher education institutions government or private... this will help to avoid selection of teachers based on donations in many institutes.. education became business nowadays which reduced the quality of the educational system... good teachers are back bone of any education system.. unfortunately selection of teachers based on money and references...

Compulsary attendance by biometric system for students. Strengthen a placement cell. Strengthen the health counseling centres in the colleges. Change the yearly examination pattern and have an internal evaluation system with the new educational technology like various competitions,periodical tests, assignments, project work,field visit, reaserch and innovation projects etc. Make the internship compulsory for graduation and post graduation. Introduce new skill based certificate courses for higher education so students can get jobs or can do businesses.
