With all respects to current capabilities of the nation, politics is the worst adversary of higher education. Authorities must note that dilution of discipline weakens the graduates.Education will continue to demand concentration. It is the rural society that abhors education. Circa 2000, observed poor students proud to get an Engineering seat in Odisha. "Waylaid" is a better term to explain the politics that kills in higher educational institutes. While secondary is a foundation for survival, pre professional and professional education needs to be a merit based system . The solution which is unique to India is a good move towards addressing inequality issues.Politics remains a no go zone , higher studies develop the intelligentsia. A graduate degree is good enough to bag a job, one needs to understand the job. Induction in to trade is an imperative in times to come.A general is as weak as its weakest soldier.Education is a mighty weapon, a realist will have the job on time.

for upgradation of higher education.......reform is required in admission procedure e.g. for admission in graduation programme say Btech , there are no. of exams except JEE Mains/ advance State wise or centre wise...........so please make unique exam pattern to be followed by Each and Every Institute of India .
One Nation One Exam for Particular Admission.
Secondly , Private universities or Private Institute Close their admission early before counselling of Govt. Institute.and create panic in candidates and their Parents.
Hence Monitoring and Reform is Sought.......

Process around getting best of breed as Teachers - it will need higher pays, stringent laws and high answerability and a very high quality hiring process.
Teacher not just a highly skilled person but to also be of very high moral values.
I think if that's done, everything fall in place
on its own.

Contd ... This suggestion is going to be a problem for the Vote Bank. However, to be a developed country we do need to get away from all types of reservations in HEI based on caste and religion. It will help to move the quality of human resources to the next level. We do want you to win Mr. Prime Minister Sir, the country is not ready for this. So what do we do?
Can we introduce financial help in the form of - paid course fees to very needy but good students, subsidized education loans for deserving students till a certain economic background. Introduce atleast one Free Undergraduate Institutes for Women per state with the scope of self employment with limited seats, selected on merit - like Baking, Tailoring, Home Science, Cosmetology.

Contd...Link the courses and skills to available job opportunity in India and Abroad. Shows trends and upcoming requirements, include our defense forces, government jobs and vacancies, public sectors - one stop solution, will be easier to control. Open more schools in the K 12 category, and ITI or Diploma course which help in self employment. Limit or restrict the number of HEI by city and state. It will stop unwanted mushrooming of really bad HEI.
India has moved from Agriculture to Services, skipping the every important manufacturing phase. Thanks to our PM Modi Ji, we have after 65+ years finally started moving on this track, now we need the skilled resources to compliment this move and the public made aware. Thank you Mr. Prime Minister, for focusing on 'Make in India'.
Give emphasis on more of ITI courses covering - Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, (Agriculture) etc. ITI Institutes should be opened and students encouraged to do them. Introduce optional free ENGLISH.

Part IHEI with no proper infrastructure and required qualified teachers should be de-recognized, even if they are owned by influential people. All HEI which offer professional courses - should show their student employability record. Student enrolments to these institutes should be on merit and nothing else.
HEI has become a money making machine. Luring students not having the aptitude to join courses, paying very high fees.Setup a platform a market place for (Education) HEI in India - where students/ parents can go and find out - what it takes to join a college/ program, the exams to give, the skills required, fees required, accommodation availability, search for institutes near me and how to apply etc. Similar to the UPI and ONDC platforms.
