To address the growing concerns in the present Accreditation and Ranking systems of the Government of India had constituted a High-Level Committee. This Committee considered the introduction of strategic reforms consistent with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the need for adopting a simple, trust-based, objective and rationalized system for approval, accreditation and ranking of Higher Educational Institutions with a verifiable and secured centralised database through technology-driven modern systems. Methodologies for facilitating Ease of Doing Business for the stakeholders, duly facilitating students in making more informed choices for selection of institutions/ programmes were also considered by the Committee.

After a series of deliberations, a High-Level Committee has submitted its draft Report on ‘Transformative Reforms for Strengthening Periodic Assessment and Accreditation of All Higher Educational Institutions in India’ to the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

In light of this, MyGov, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, seeks feedback and suggestions from all the stakeholders for the finalisation of the report.

This report has now been placed in the public domain until June 22, 2023.

Ranking should also decide looking to new ideas and methods added during study. Ranking should decide looking to Good prayer and other extracurricular activity, Patriotism, character and mental and physical health of students. I launched one prayer Youtube for prayer https://youtu.be/n9e0U1vg2Rc पढ़े ब्लॉग पर कि परम् धर्म क्या है । www.mysupremereligion.blogspot.com

Many teachers are not able to explain subject to students despite having good knowledge and make subject boring On the other hand some teachers explain well and create interest amongst students even for a tough subject. So, teachers training and upskilling is required to be given priority under New Education Policy. It shall not be just a formality on papers. The methodology and curriculum shall be prepared for different subjects and trainers shall be selected and trained carefully for at least following: 1. Upgrading educational qualifications or skills. A good teacher has to be a good learner. 2. Communication skill 3. Connect with students. 4. Behavioral ethics 5. Maintaining a balanced speed of course coverage. It shall not happen that some topics are given too much time and some topics are just touched 6. Revisions and reviews of subjects. 7. Making students aware about prevailing trends in industries and make them future ready.

There is no connect with students and teachers of technical institutes with industries. Students do not get feel of industries during education. Teachers also have no experience of working in industry. As nursing colleges and medical colleges are attached to hospitals, engineering colleges and other technical training institutes shall be attached to industries around. Students and teachers shall be taken to factories and some senior technical person of industry shall explain the working of machines and making of the products. This will generate interest about manufacturing industries amongst students and enhance the learning.

A powerful proverb 'Pot full of water doesn't make noise compared to half empty ' the main problem people with full knowledge need to open their mouth as they should not fear failure as it causes embarrassment. A simple person will take both success & failures as a sport. Many years ago there was an ugly looking guy appearing for an IAS exam. The panel consisting of both men and women asked him an embarrassing question of what is personality. The answer by the candidate was that's the thing missing in me. He was selected !!! What is important is not marks. To use powerful mind, knowledge to be useful to the society with simplicity & at lowest cost. A person with higher qualifications should impart knowledge to uplift capabilities of his colleagues without any expectation that makes him Guru. These were our ancestors fundamentals which made us most sought country for knowledge Accreditation of any educational institution you need simple persons with high knowledge base & above qualities.

Respected Team, Most important reforms required in educational institutions are clarity on learning outcomes, processes to implement & improvise them, dedicated staff to hold high principles responsible for development of a human being, processes and reflection in their duties with sense of equality with peers, management, most importantly children and vice a versa, well funded institutions to pay well to on-ground staff(must have). We are attempting to implement them at www.anubhutee.org - an alternative, non-profit learning centre following principles of self directed and democratic education. Thanks, Anubhutee team
