Poor science and maths education (and English) accounts for 80 per cent of total students who fail in Tenth Board Examination. The low enrolment in science stream at higher secondary level and poor-quality education is a constraint in development of scientific manpower in the country. Science and Maths education would need special attention. We need to deliberate and find workable strategies for strengthening the quality of teaching–learning processes for better outcomes; innovations and diversity of approaches in matters of curricula, pedagogies and use of technology to improve the learning levels.

This kind of Virtual Labs are be useful if the institutes can not afford to have costly setups for their labs. It will be helpful for individuals also, to conduct some experiments sitting at remote locations. Another form of Virtual Labs is interactive animations or simulations. In this case, there will not be any real laboratory setup anywhere. But the simulation/ interactive software gives out different outputs based on the inputs given to it. These results are akin to the results from setup.

Virtual Labs is another new method that can be explored. It is in use at higher-education levels in some universities. It can be thought at school levels also. It can be done in one of the two ways. In the first case, an experimental setup can be made available at some institute, but any interesting institute will be able to conduct the experiment on it by connecting to that setup using Internet and passing its inputs. Then the experiment will be conducted with these inputs and result sent back.

Explaining the science concepts using models can help the student understand them better. Computer-based animations can be used these days, to explain the working mechanisms of the systems. Even the complex concepts like electromagnetic wave propagation can be explained with ease using these animations.

I don't think this should require much more than teaching this subject as good as possible rest all subject are same to paying special attention, There are number of actors like kapoors they are not having good degree but they are excellent in their field.

In Today's world students want a efficient book and this forces them to buy many other reference books. Actually students IGNORE THEIR NCERT BOOKS and go for other books. It seems as if NCERT is promoting other publishers(not to be taken otherwise). THERE IS AN URGENT NEED FOR CHANGE IN THE BOOK....NO STUDENT Is SATISFIED A LOT OF EXPECTATION FROM THE GOV

According to me there is an urgent need to revise the NCERT books for science and mathematics.I am a student of class 10 and feel that this book doesn't stand for the needs of the present.Some drawbacks of this book are as follows- 1.Today every student wants a early head start.In that case these book provide negligible outlook. 2.A student going from 10th to 11th std. would feel like jumping in the middle of the sea after practicing in a swimming pool.The knowledge is so INSUFFICIENT.

I think there should be a single board of secondary education. This may present a uniformity in education system. And, also induction of Vedic education will definitely be fruitful to the nation.

1.NCERT books of science & maths doesn't have sufficient material to give students that initial learnings.NCERT books doesn't start from the scratch,due to this students don't get the basic concept of maths & science.NCERT books needs to include the very basic concepts & more examples & practice questions should be involved in the NCERT books. 2.Secondly,Some schools don't follow the NCERT books,so it should be made mandatory to use NCERT books in every CBSE school from 1st-12th class.

1. Medical teaching requires classes on internet/TV channels for uniform knowledge and statistics as the books vary and so do the data. 2. The passing examination to be done on all india basis and not through universities (as done in 10th or 12th through one board ) 3. Practicals and Viva to be given at a neutral centre and not the home centre i.e. medical college in which the student/candidate is studying.. 4. Ranking exam on all India basis like GRE/GMAT to be done at the MBBS level.
