Poor science and maths education (and English) accounts for 80 per cent of total students who fail in Tenth Board Examination. The low enrolment in science stream at higher secondary level and poor-quality education is a constraint in development of scientific manpower in the country. Science and Maths education would need special attention. We need to deliberate and find workable strategies for strengthening the quality of teaching–learning processes for better outcomes; innovations and diversity of approaches in matters of curricula, pedagogies and use of technology to improve the learning levels.

Our own Cutting Edge Research. Dear sir To do this at least in IIT and IISC for specific branches incentives to Mtech and Phd students should be increased to 30000 and 45000 respectively as in medical field. This would be beneficial as the scenario is 1. Management jobs are paying high. 2. Psu jobs seem to be more lucrative. 3. MS at foreign universities become more lucrative. 4. Students leave Mtech in between as they get job. Thanks & Regards Your admirer

In rural schools teach agriculture and animal husbandry. There also needs to be more focus on Health care. Education should be useful; and not perceived as Waste of time.

The NCERT which deals with the syllabus of the CBSE, has been instructed by the government that the medieval period should not be shown as the period of struggle between Hindus and Muslims. The discovery of India itself is credited to Vasco da Gama, who was led to India by a Gujarati trader. Many facts like these have not been incorporated in our textbooks since the education system we are following is laid down by the British. It's high time that we educate the youth of India with the truth.

Syllabus should be changed periodically according to the society from secondary.. But our history should be the main concern every time.. For present India, ethical values are very needed and those can be only obtained by teaching the examples of the perfect lives from our vedas, puranas and many more stories we have.. Our History, Changing syllabus according to the changing world can make the youth perfect in their life... and help India grow...

1.Vedic mathematics shuld be taught 2.Ancient methods of astronomy and astro physics should be included along with morden physics this will make the mind more broad 3.Old indian epic books which hav evidence of rich technologically advanced evidence of science should be taught so that the thinking of school children broaden up because present school teaching does not give us scope to think beyond what is taught. 4.Support group should be made to evaluate the thinking of students to innovate.

Science standard is lowered now... Even Mathematics also.... In science no one practically explained us how First Law of Motion we got etc.. We rnt dealt with real life and practical situation examples... Similarly in Maths.... Some chapters are having no ACTUAL Real LIFE use...Such as Real numbers, polynomials, Traingles in Class 10 And only those people who could solve the problems are termed GOOD in maths.. Can't one who gets Concept cleared but marks less be good in maths ????
