Poor science and maths education (and English) accounts for 80 per cent of total students who fail in Tenth Board Examination. The low enrolment in science stream at higher secondary level and poor-quality education is a constraint in development of scientific manpower in the country. Science and Maths education would need special attention. We need to deliberate and find workable strategies for strengthening the quality of teaching–learning processes for better outcomes; innovations and diversity of approaches in matters of curricula, pedagogies and use of technology to improve the learning levels.

A common syllabus for all subjects is required for the whole country. Let's not overburden the students,More emphasis is to be given to LEARNING BY DOING,In the present system we talk of learning by doing but practically speaking teachers just rush up the syllabus due to excess syllabus Most important thing is - "Have mercy on children let the syllabus level be corresponding to the age limit.

Activity based learning should be provided by schools.Even schools should promote creativity of science. One should not force to have bookish knowledge,It's because there can be wrong information given in textbooks. For example, there are 100s of mistakes in 9th and 10th standard SSC(MAHARASHTRA)textbooks.Internet will be best for having knowledge of Science.

Put everything in books and ask in exam. and Believe that the students with good marks have learned all. This is our education policy. We don't develop creative and innovative brain, but encyclopaedia of all subjects. We know more science, math and art than developed country's student, but they invent and we buy and we study their inventions in our book. The process is going on...........................................

In 1853, there was a lord Macaulay, now there are 200 crores Macauley. This is education policy that make country. No one thinks how to teach, everyone thinks what to teach. No one is ready to break chain to increase the creative thinking of student so that they can think themselves to solve a problem, everyone talks about what to teach and what to test from them based on the reproduction of bookish material.

After 8th std. students should be given practical knowledge which would help them in choosing the right career path after 10th. there should be one single board (no ssc, cbse, icse, etc.).

a) There should be common standard for Science, Maths and may be English across India. Now the State Syllabus textbooks are not using the same syllabus as CBSE. This is creating problem for rural and state syllabus students when they write competitive entrance exams after 12th and after graduation. (b) Textbooks of the state syllabus are not as pictorial as CBSE syllabus books. Students are not showing interest in the State syllabus text books compared to the CBSE text books.

without knowledge of new approaches for teaching we cant expect high levels of outcomes from the learners,,,for that teachers are having awareness in new trends and technologies,,and they have to apply these in their regular teaching practices,,then only we improve the knowledge of children,,
