Poor science and maths education (and English) accounts for 80 per cent of total students who fail in Tenth Board Examination. The low enrolment in science stream at higher secondary level and poor-quality education is a constraint in development of scientific manpower in the country. Science and Maths education would need special attention. We need to deliberate and find workable strategies for strengthening the quality of teaching–learning processes for better outcomes; innovations and diversity of approaches in matters of curricula, pedagogies and use of technology to improve the learning levels.

NCERT should prepare online video course material of all school experiments demonstrations for science & mathematics by CFTIs: IISERs/IISc/IITs and freely distribute to all govt. schools. The contents should be prepared/translated in all major regional languages. Students should be able to see these videos through mobiles. These materials should be periodically revised/ modified in every 5 years. The government should ensure science laboratory facilities (minimum standard) in all schools.

Pl.Visit: http://letscareforeducation.blogspot.in/ This blog is the reminder to humanity that curiosity is the engine if education is the vehicle."Every child is a born artist, the problem is to remain artist as they grow up"Picasso correctly quoted.Einstein said not to judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree.We just can't stand here and watch everything these great people stood for destroyed by our schooling system. Are you with me on the journey to remind the world what true education is?

We need to look at the content first. The children today are born into technology. The class room content is far removed from their real lives. Then come the process of learning and assessment. All these need to be enhanced.

To give strength of Science and Maths teaching in class , I will give more emphasis on Teachers Training and their active involvement for research oriented activities. teachers of Class XI, XII of science and maths should be called in research institutes more oftenly so they will be aware about research activities, clear ideas about concepts, applications of science in day to day life. it will improve their part in classroom interactions.

I am delighted to see the huge participation by the ordinary citizens in policy making. I thank Government of India for providing a platform where people can state their thoughts, opinions and exchange ideas. I have written my suggestions in the pdf file attached.

Human brain is built for visuals, text has to be acquired.. hence brain responds and understands visuals 60,000 times faster than text. All text in book should be represented with visuals which start simple and build one layer at a time to explain the topic.

The government first must motivate the people from existing system with facilitation. The state govt. owned institution are in very bad financial conditions. The central govt. can directly facilitate them in research, training etc. I personally tried to get support for my book publication from state govt., TEQIP scheme, and institution, but result is zero. If I am not getting support for book publication from world class publication house, then what to say about others.
