Poor science and maths education (and English) accounts for 80 per cent of total students who fail in Tenth Board Examination. The low enrolment in science stream at higher secondary level and poor-quality education is a constraint in development of scientific manpower in the country. Science and Maths education would need special attention. We need to deliberate and find workable strategies for strengthening the quality of teaching–learning processes for better outcomes; innovations and diversity of approaches in matters of curricula, pedagogies and use of technology to improve the learning levels.

Firstly reduce the no of subjects till class 10. instead of too many subects, focus on personality development. US system have only 3-4 subjects compulsory, 1. English in the form of academic enrichment- writing skills and expressing yourself 2. Maths .3 Science all other 4-5 subjects are optional and these include not only History , geography but skills such as KEyboarding, Theatre, Music, Creative arts, sports which keep children interested and happy. Our education system is boring & heavy

Before frame out New Education Policy GOI must ensure strength of faculty in all PRT,TGT & PGT sections with adequate strength in its own school education through KV & NV. Eastern India, NE is suffered due to lack of teachers continuously for last 3/4 years. Students paying full fees to school also compelled to take pvt tuition from outside to compensate their half done learning. GOI should serious to cover the blank by filling faculty strength also from regional basis.

I agree that we can not fully stop Or decrease growth of population but at least we can check it to some extent. For example even if 100% progress is made in various fields but alas there is increase of 200% population.100% does not match to 200%.Progress so made is failure. Resulting we find ourselves as stranded.Lest should it not be that oneday we are helpless and there is no otherway out left for us..Rapid growth of population creates every sort of problem Think over it seriously before it

To gain knowledge about technology/science, it is only possible by practical experience. No matter how the knowledge is imparted, how students grasp that knowledge matters. Theory examination makes students mug up big answers/diagrams. I prefer giving importance to practical approach i.e. we can modify course structure for each semester/exam in which students are given regular practical assignments and questions will be asked on those assignments.

I appreciate Modi,s vision of development. But it should not be one sided. It concerns to only physical & materialistic development. There should be overall development. What about ethnic, cultural, moral, civic sense and spiritual development ?Apart from this we should be much worried about rapid growth of population.Wer should not proud of being called second largest in population next to china. It is sad to note that nobody talks about problem of increase in population at such scale.ToBeContinued\-

Activity based, practical based, experiments based education in science and technology subjects. In fact, there shall be a full fledged laboratory attached to every office of engineers too. There shall be no shortage of facilities in laboratories and shall be adequate to cater to the needs of all stake holders including students.

for maths -use tools like abacus , live snake ladder, live chess, all the steps should be taught with logic and their relevance like why we put zero in the dividend while borrowing next digit, table reciting with poems, outdoor games requiring basic maths, equations in recipes, theorems with paper cutting
