Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will share his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ with the farmers of India on 22nd March 2015.

The Prime Minister is very keen to interact with his farmer sisters and brothers across India and would also like to hear their thoughts, ideas and insights on a wide range of issues relating to agriculture. He has requested farmers across India to write to him and send letters to ‘Mann Ki Baat, Akashvani, Sansad Marg, Delhi – 110001’. Some farmers can ask the Prime Minister their question directly during the episode.

MyGov also gives you all this wonderful opportunity to contribute through ideas and inputs for the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode with India’s hardworking farmers.

The PM has repeatedly said that India cannot progress until the farmers of the Nation progress and has assured that the Centre will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the agricultural progress of India.

Sir, we should encourge farmers for organic farming, because organic farming has many benefits over modern day farming using chemical fertilizers. We will get healthy, nutritious, and chemical-free crop. There will be less exposure of both farmer and consumer to hazardous chemicals. And definitely, we will get natural taste of the grains, fruits and vegetables.

Adarniya PM Ji, many of my aquaintances in TN, Kerala complain that since MNREGA, it is difficult to get labour to work in fields as people are happy getting paid for practically no work. If we could channelise MNREGA to provide a pool to serve various segments of work like agriculture, civil, roads, etc in such a way as to provide labour where it is required, it would transform this "monument of failure" into a "spearhead of success". If interested, I can provide further ideas to do this.

Sir, I know you are a well wisher of farmers. But persons like Anna and Kejriwal may put some huddles in the path of progress. You may talk with Tikayatji. Let the people know your real intention, sir.

the basic thing for farmers is to educate them ,like there is a gram panchayat office in every village, every week there should be a class taken on any one topic of which the farmers are interest, and they must be educated. every talati, mamlatdar, sarpanch should be thoroughly educated so that they can teach good things to the farmers , one proverb is there jaisa raja wasi praja just like that all the talatis, mamlatders, sarpanchs should be literate,

Sugarcane farming takes 90% of water available for farming. So make compulsory sprinkling or other water efficient system. Also cooperative sugar factories are most inefficient & always demand for packages after packages. Still they do not pay the farmers their dues. Now stop the packages which are taxpayers money wasted. Make them stand on their own feet. Also make compulsory the manufacturing of byproducts like ethanol, bio gas for heating & electricity, particle boards etc.
