The Policy on Collaborative Application development by Opening the source code of Applications intends to increase the pace of application development and rapid roll out/ implementation by adopting the principles of open-source development model. Government wants to promote reuse of existing developed applications. Successful running applications and new applications are envisaged to be developed within the public domain by opening the application source code and it is also intended to encourage innovation inside and outside Government by encouraging collaborative development to achieve better products in less time.

e-Gov application source open approach—including the use and release of application source to public—can reduce costs, reduce development time, and improve overall quality, including security through increased transparency and mass peer review.

As per my understanding Goverment of India should start enrolling the people for creating their own email id under indian goverment that can be used for communicating government directly to the people. We can not use free emails like gmail/yahoo etc as they are US based company can miss used the Indian Citizen information from their server. Rural area peopl will be communicate in their own language for that we can use language converter tool or we can send Voice information in their language.

E-attendance of students in govt schools we know that school teachers show more no.students in documents and get benefits from govt on the names of all students like food, cloth, cycle etc.so by this the govt can identify actual no.of students and can send only needed Qty of materials And by this we can reduce child labour and can improve education because many have their admissions but they do not go to school,so if it comes come to act then the teachers force students to come school regularly.
