The Policy on Collaborative Application development by Opening the source code of Applications intends to increase the pace of application development and rapid roll out/ implementation by adopting the principles of open-source development model. Government wants to promote reuse of existing developed applications. Successful running applications and new applications are envisaged to be developed within the public domain by opening the application source code and it is also intended to encourage innovation inside and outside Government by encouraging collaborative development to achieve better products in less time.

e-Gov application source open approach—including the use and release of application source to public—can reduce costs, reduce development time, and improve overall quality, including security through increased transparency and mass peer review.

Sir for the Drug to Menace Problem. I think you take a suggestions to Baba Ramadev and Chemist which make the drugs and medicine. Drugs and medicine increase the curiousity in bad habits. They have developed the new drug which is similar to this drug and makes very cheaply. I think this is the good vision which remove the drugs from every person and take the habits of this medicine.

Government departments should be discouraged and later disallowed to buy proprietary softwares. They should post their detailed software requirements on an online software bank. Volunteer individuals and teams can then develop the required software and the government should award prizes for the best three or four softwares.

Most computer courses in schools teach how to use Microsoft products. This should be changed to promote open source FLOSS softwares.
