The Policy on Collaborative Application development by Opening the source code of Applications intends to increase the pace of application development and rapid roll out/ implementation by adopting the principles of open-source development model. Government wants to promote reuse of existing developed applications. Successful running applications and new applications are envisaged to be developed within the public domain by opening the application source code and it is also intended to encourage innovation inside and outside Government by encouraging collaborative development to achieve better products in less time.

e-Gov application source open approach—including the use and release of application source to public—can reduce costs, reduce development time, and improve overall quality, including security through increased transparency and mass peer review.

e BIN (electronic biogram information network) is a software to capture Antibiotic resistance data. Any hospital can load their data on this by their unique ID & password and can review resistance trend & which antibiotic is responding. Sir, this software has been prepared by a non Govt society (EARS) who has taken lead for the first time in India to compile Microbial Surveillance. If all Govt hospitals are instructed to load data online, this will help in controlling AMR threat.

We are slowly losing our weightage cause of water scarcity; most of the cultivated lands are sold to real estates. Population growth, overuse of groundwater causes water scarcity. In cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai has lots of apartments. It can be modified into cultivable field. In apartments pillars in the compound wall have to be raised in the balcony. Once the sand bed is set we can grow vegetables & use it for the people in the apartments. This green can raise the level of oxygen in air.

Booth Lever Officers are backbone for electoral process. Some times during data entry for various forms such as form 6, form 8 and form8A, mistakes occur. Before finalizing the data if BLOs are granted limited access to verify the data entered, it will facilitate the voter card making department. Because so many people apply for rectification for the errors which occurred due to mistake while entering data.
