"Educational System" fails in many way but following points can help in restructuring it again. 1. Focus of Skill Based Education(Practical Oriented). 2. Reward Creativity, original thinking, research & innovation. 3. Get smarter and high qualified people to teach. 4. Implement massive technology and infrastructure for education. 5. Re-define the purpose of education. 6. Take mediocrity out of the system. 6. Allow private capital in education.

there should be reservations only for economically backward students, irrespective of their caste and religion. its high time to remove all kind of reservations for post graduation and any kind of master degree. As quality of skilled labor will suffer. Only the meritorious and deserving should reach the top. Rural service of 5 to 10 years should be made compulsory for students claiming reservations. They should involve in developing the rural India. its their payback time for government India

One of the thing that we can do is allow tax breaks for movies with english as well as another language subtitles. Some time we cannot make program with friends from other language to see a movie as its another language. I have watched regional language movies as they had english subtitles.

Introduction of Sanskrit reading, writing and speaking is the best way to culturally integrate every citizen into Indian society. If not in Devanagari script, local language's script should be used to achieve this. Indian languages provide for this seamless integration. It is only a matter of implementation.

English must be language of instruction and teaching but the regional language must be encouraged to maintain the education:culture ratio.

All being said, there is an important point that needs to be considered - "RESERVATION". I'm not against reservation, but I'm certainly against how it is being followed now. A SC/ST student gets all special privileges even when his/her family is economically strong enough to handle it whereas someone who really needs it doesn't gets it and real talent starves. If we don't take proper care of this, we will lose talent and every effort to improve the system will go in vain.

India's greatest gift to the world is its multi-culturalism that has been encoded over centuries in her many languages, traditions, art and architecture, cuisine, clothing styles etc. As long as we retain our pride in our roots and show the world how diversity is our strength and the finest outcome of a highly "educated" mind, then there will be less intolerance in the world and less terrorism and violence against minor groups. Another outcome of education is the acceptance of diversity and the acknowledgement of different people with different abilities and belief systems without fear or violence. Here again, unscrupulous politicians have created "the other" and made the country divisive on caste/ religion/ regional lines that too many ignorant people are "bought" into the idea of "difference". True education is an acceptance of difference that leads to celebration of diversity rather than wanting mono-culturalism.

For too long, divisive politicians have leveraged language as a political weapon to fight elections. Language is just a tool to ensure proper communication in the written or spoken form. The ability to articulate in any language, the finest of ideas and even the ability to express thoughts in graphic form is one of the needed outcomes of education. Sadly, most Indians who come out of the Indian education system (70%) are incapable of expressing themselves eloquently in any language.

Language learning takes about 30% of an average kid's time in primary school. The rest are devoted to subject areas including math, science, social sc. etc. An integrated curriculum that finds place in the language classroom can relieve the burden on the other classes from having less time but having to deliver more material. Eg. Environmental sc., certain topics under social sc., can become effective "lessons" in the language class to be discussed and debated over.
