To preserve and promote various facets of the tribal life relating to culture, tradition, customs and their skills, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs proposes to organize a tribal carnival with culture troupes from various tribal communities of different State/UTs, in Delhi during the 3rd or 4th week of February, 2016. The carnival shall showcase various facets of tribal culture.

Besides various activities, it has also been decided to felicitate eminent achievers from tribal communities who have excelled in different field, during the event. This is with a view to recognize & convey an image of tribal achievers as role models for the society. This will also recognize the contributions and versatile role of tribal people in Indian society.

Through the MyGov platform, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs is looking for tribal achievers (with detail credentials of their achievement) in various fields like sports, academics, music, art, dance, doctor etc.

The last date to submit your comments is 30th September, 2015.

Three Mother's Art Gallery, Thangapat Road | Thangapat Mapal Palace Compound, Wangkhei, Imphal 795005, India has art work by Gurumayum shyamsunder sharma a Manipuri native. All sculptures carved from single log of wood. Gets inspiration from is dreams. He does not sell his works of art. They live off income from phaneks made on the loom.

i think that the language of a particular tribe which is mojority in that area should be tought in the school to promote the language.M frm odisha n belongs to saura catagory.recently the Odisha GOVT appointed language teachers bt they themselves dont knw the language.

Kindly let the on line markets to sell the Tribal Products and assist the tribal people to get their products be sold on On-line market by providing tax benefits. There should be a rule that every on-line market like Amazon, Flipkart and Snap-Deal should sell minimum number of tribal products.

Allot SPECIAL OUTLET in each SHOPPING MALL for tribal products & give tax exemption for those outlets. Because many want to purchase tribal hand made products but there is no access to them. Once they could sell their products they keep on it in production and it will be recognised by every one and at the same time they get the financial assistance for their livelihood.

this can be helpful in reducing poverty,mishandling of north eastern youth by some known/unknown elements ,reducing the racial discrimination of tribal people in big indian cities,and in this process they can make the growth story of india much faster,at the same time their social status will improve drastically,thank you.

This is one of the fantabulous idea ever for uplifting, inspiring, promoting and recognizing the indigenous talent for preserving whatever exits currently. I assume talent includes - arts and crafts too besides sports, science in tribal medicine, etc. A platform where the arts and crafts goods could be sold would help the tribals financially. Local carnivals to be promoted too to reach more people. Main hurdle - how many of the tribals are aware of this event and how are they being encouraged?

जिस आदिवासी परिवार ने एक बार आरक्षण का लाभ लेकर शास.नौकरी ,निर्वाचित प्रतिनिधि या ऐसा कोई लाभ ले लिया है,तो उसको दुबारा आरक्षण का लाभ न दिया जाय।इससे अन्य आदिवासियों को आगे आने का अवसर मिलेगा।

Sir, in the jharkhand state level cpgrams and jan sanvad, i have filed grievances regarding the welfare of tribals. Eg. At village - narayanpur, block - potka, p.o- bhalki, jharkhand- 831002, there is an upgraded govt. High school with only two appointed teachers. The location of the village is such that 99% of the students studings are tribals.Two teachers cant manage all the students of class 1 to 10 with so many subjects.refer grievance no. SMVAD/P/2015/15267 and CMOFF/E/2015/01516

Sir, i have worked for the tribal labours. As per grievance petition no.MTRBL/E/2015/00093 on pgportal.gov.in , a complaint was filed by me so that the tribal workers working at the job site would get the proper wage. Proper action has been taken and the tribal workers are geting the exact wage. Similarly, petition no.PMOPG/E/2015/0041718 AND ONLINE RTI NO. MOENF/R/2015/60900 to know and make the river subarnarekha pollution free on which a large tribal population of jharkhand depends was filed.

There should be a tribal carnival every year in each of the major cities based on a well defined calendar which is done at a public location. This will allow city folks to admire India's rich tribal culture and also get planned into people vacation scheduling.
