Post 3 out of many:
Step 1: Teachers of colleges can't teach Step 2: Students join coaching paying huge fees, often higher than thier tution fees Step 3: Better teachers join coaching centers for better salary Step 4:Poor grade teachers are left to teach in colleges. GOTO Step 1.
This is a vicious cycle of coaching and tution which not only in money wasting but also time-wasting for students who go to college to fulfill attendance requirements and to coaching to pass exams.

Post 2 out of many:
The best teachers of the country can be found in private coaching centres, private tution centres, and lastly in Kota. Most of these teachers are there because they earn more there and some are because they do not have the required degrees to become a teacher in a recognized university. But people swear by their way of teaching and making students understand the concepts - something the so called "qualified" teachers of most schools/colleges can't.

Post 1 out of many:
This is my favorite topic because I've had some of the worst teachers in my life. People who should not even be allowed to enter an educational institution, let alone teach.
Instead of hiring teachers on the basis of number of degree certificates he/she has acquired(or bought!) or number of years he/she has tormented students in other schools/colleges, why don't we hire teachers based on how well he/she can teach?

There should be several competitive exams of national level for teachers.
And the merit list candidates should be given a chance to teach in foreign countries.
This will increase the competition between teachers and the quality of their teaching skills too.

The quality of teachers is more important for the quality output from a student. Instead of selecting teacher through written exam an face to face interview should be conducted.

Life Coaching is a growing segment of global economy. Please take charge to lead India.
I personally expect a sponsorship for a chair in some university.
I would highly appreciate if you announce a university dedicated to the issue.
Without Psychology society is no more, we are just media driven animals.
Thanks.
