Competence of teachers and their motivation is crucial for improving the quality. Several initiatives are being taken for addressing teacher shortages, shortages of secondary school teachers in mathematics, science and languages, improving the quality of pre-service teachers and in-service teachers professional development, enhancing the status of teaching as a profession, improving teachers’ motivation and their accountability for ensuring learning outcomes, and improving the quality of teacher educators. The objective of this theme is to assess the existing scenario and provide workable solutions to address the gamut of issues in teacher education in the school sector.

Quality assessment should done on teachers also,which will improve their skills. Continuous evaluation should apply on teacher quality also, which will sharpen their skills.A motivated, skilled teacher will be a model for students and she/he can produce better citizen.

In present days teacher education is not up to the level increasing teacher education colleges in quantity but not in quality. There is no seriousness about the attendance and classes to the student teacher. They want to only certificates with out going to the college. How for they Justify their duties after becoming the teachers they don't having subject knowledge and professional knowledge. Even though They don't have moral values in teacher education. Cultural education also want to give.

Teacher training curriculum should updated, including age appropriate teaching strategies, value education, career education, basic counselling skills,special education(basics) so that these skills can integrated with all subject. Which improve the quality of education and lead to over all development of the children

आदर्श शिक्षक के निर्माण हेतु सेवापुर्व प्रशिक्षण, सेवारत शिक्षकों का समय-समय पर नियमित प्रशिक्षण अनियार्य होना चाहिए.

teacher traing should be improved, private institution (d.ed, b.ed) should be closed they have become shops no interference of politics in teacher selection, financial security should there for teachers even in private schools

A).No vacancy for qualified teacher. B).Extra workload on teacher except teaching. C).There should be no contract system for vacancy in teaching profession. D).Less time for teaching because of extra duties. E).Due to less pay scale youth are frustrated and don’t want to choose teaching as a profession.
