Competence of teachers and their motivation is crucial for improving the quality. Several initiatives are being taken for addressing teacher shortages, shortages of secondary school teachers in mathematics, science and languages, improving the quality of pre-service teachers and in-service teachers professional development, enhancing the status of teaching as a profession, improving teachers’ motivation and their accountability for ensuring learning outcomes, and improving the quality of teacher educators. The objective of this theme is to assess the existing scenario and provide workable solutions to address the gamut of issues in teacher education in the school sector.

अध्ययन-अध्यापन का कार्य ऐसे गुरुजन बन्धुओं को सौपना चाहिए जो झूठ-बेइमानी-चोरी-छल-कपट आसक्ति-ममता-स्वार्थ से परे हों अथवा इन्हें हर हालत में छोड़कर ईमान-सच्चाई-संयम-सेवा को धारण कर चुके हो| ‘दोष रहित सत्य प्रधान मुक्ति और अमरता से युक्त सर्वोत्तम जीवन विधान और अमन-चैन का सुखी समृद्ध समाज स्थापित करने हेतु गुरुजन बन्धुओं को सबसे पहली तथा सबसे बड़ी जिम्मेदारी अपने ऊपर लेनी और उसे सुचारुरूप से वहन करनी चाहिये ।

Yoga psychology and teaching methods of Upanishads should be included in the curriculum. They should know the roots of Bharatiya education is in Upanishads [Katopanishad & taitariya upanishad]. There should be a compulsory one subject on Our great National teacher Chanakya. It gives an status of a teacher.

A teacher should be a Idol of Patients, Humanity, Simplicity and Truth. It is very necessary to appoint a person as a teacher by interviewing these qualities or There should be a Yearly/Half Yearly REPORT CARD system submit by the parents for individual teacher's character & qualities, the growth of teachers must be depend on this REPORT CARD. This system may help to recognize the best teachers and they will be responsible for there precious works.

Solution (1) every 3/5 year written exam consisting of entire syllabus teacher teaching highest class should be taken n minimum 70 percent qualifying marks.failing which 1 year forcefully LWP.(2) remove unwanted pressure from teachers working in autonomous n government bodies as lots of clerical work.(3) a neutral supervisor system for controlling quality of teaching n learning.in case students are not paying attention they must be punished.(4) better salaries to teachers better working conditio

Teachers working in autonomous n government bodies loose their interest in teaching on account of following-(1) teacher once got into service could very exceptionally be terminated ,the stop taking interest in teaching.(2) most of capacity building programs / enrichment program/ training programs conducted for the teachers are exceptionally fruitful.(3) a post graduate degree person is considered to be competent for teaching +2 classes in real many times they are no good ,graduate teaches better

Transmission loss in teacher education, i.e., gap between what they learn in training institutions & the actual class room transactions is 90%. Colossal wastage of precious resources. Thousands of crores of Rs go down the drain. Vested interests & institutions like NCERT & SCERTs are the only beneficiaries. !. Create motivation through certainty of rewards - both positive & negative for the elementary teachers. 2. link pay to learning outcome of teachers to Director of SCERTs.

chapter of professionalism should be included in teacher education curriculum and there is a necessity to improve accountability of teacher education institution and teacher educators towards pupil teachers.the matter of accountability is relay important to understand in teacher education and there is a immediate need to implicate accountability initiatives by the authorities in the field of teacher education otherwise we never find our national objectives.
