Teacher education may be addressed through effective teacher professional development. Teachers must attend workshops ( TV is a good medium to begin with to have mass connection) Teachers must ensure good teaching practices in teaching and learning. They must be empowered to implement these lessons in class. If the teachers are given a lesson plan kit and made to implement a minimum critical path may be achieved and the students will benefit tremendously.

The issue here seems to be for quality teachers across a spectrum. It is not only about schools but also colleges. Just having a bachelors degree or masters should not qualify one to teach. The teacher has to be certified to teach a particular subject. Along with certified knowledge as per level of teaching requirement, they also need to be tested for creativity, soft skills and analytical thought. Most good teachers still lack a lot of knowledge. They are not up to date with latest knowledge.

At present the system of appointing the teachers is based on the teachers having qualifications like Bed or Med.Teachers can be asked to attend the training courses in new subjects introduced in syllabus and incentives are given based on their attending new courses.

I know I am thinking out of the box but I believe this can make our teachers responsible. Because teachers are not only restricted to give good education to their own children, they should treat every child of country as their own child

C) Or if govt teachers send their children to public school than they should sponsor atleast a one child as their social responsibility.

I know my suggestions can be against the democracy of India.
A) But I believe we should make it mandatory that child of govt teacher will be admitted in their parent's school in which they are teaching with the job grantee
B) The appointment of govt teacher should not be permanent initially. Once they clear all the formalities of the appointment then they will get all the benefits of the job but the assessement of teacher on every 3 years must be done if they pass that then their tenure must
