State like Odisha, in most district, there are a lot of problem in schools present in village area. 1) No infrastructure 2)No quality teacher 3) No roads to school 4) Corruption in mid day meal 5) No electricity 6) No practical experiment instruments 7)No inspection and review 8) No computer facility 9) No playground with playing equipment 10) Shortage of teacher and no recruitment. Things are looking very good on paper and very much worst in reality.

Need to focus in the areas like - 1) Automated and computerized the recruitment process/system so that no corruption can happen and ineffective people should not allow 2) Regulatory board should be there to decide pay scale and review regularly as per market 3) They should go initial technical and behavioral training 4) should have more teacher training academy. 5) there should be some motivational factor so that good people join govt school instead of choosing private.

Currently there are thousands of teacher shortage in various state govt schools. In a state like Odisha, govt hiring teacher on contract and pay very negligible salary like 3K to 6K. In that how someone will survive and motivate. That's why we are having strike of teachers very frequently.

To teach the students at Degree level or Higher education ( in Arts ,Commerce , Science or Engg.), a teacher from Science faculty must have SET/NET/Ph.D....for a quality and approved staff.
But, the same criteria is not applicable for staff coming from engineering field...He hold either BE/ME ( as one can easily do ME ), For them SET/NET/Ph.D. is not compulsory ...which somewhere lack the quality education.

Some serious efforts should be made to stop the coaching centre phenomena as it is wasting our youth which we are so proud of.They simple cash on the dreams and aspirations of parents and our students.

As a professor, I feel, we need to address the problems of faculties. Special facilities to reserved categories in this profession should be removed.Person for becoming a teacher must be only human. He should not be discriminated. A person of reserved category can be eligible for teacher& appear for Net/Set @50% & Open category @ 50%. Quality education should not be compromised. NET/SET exams just test knowledge of person. The delivery of knowledge to the students is not verified.
