Lets have competition between teachers, they will train themselves. Pay more for better teacher. let parents, student and government decide which teacher is better.

1) To ensure high quality teachers are going into the system an interview should be held to check their mindset, intent and knowledge of the duty they are taking, especially teachers in rural India. 2) A deep knowledge of RTE/NCF should be built with insights for the teachers and made their bibles, whereas as of now teachers I have talked to know rarely about it. 3) Rural Indian teacher should be given rigorous practical experience and leadership training to enable them to run school with HMs.

World, Science, Culture ...everything change very fast. It is high time that we need to change the syllabus to reflect the needs and definitely train the Teachers very periodically and equip them well with the updated syllabus. OVer and above most of the Private colleges do not have quality /quantity staff, resulting in the deterioration of the Quality educations, The retired stalwarts can be engaged to train them at nominal cost

Centre to encourage states to adopt teacher competency testing and use results for teacher development 1.      Use teacher competency results to identify training areas 2.      Teacher training to be strictly demand based 3.      States should capacitate DIET to create multiple possibilities like peer learning, self-learning and information access for teachers to gain necessary skills 4. Teacher training institutes to be upgraded to offer range of courses for teachers and teacher educators

one laptop per child is the vision of Nicholas Negroponte in MIT USA. For India we must come up with One Tablet per Teacher with 3G / Wifi First the teachers has to learn and then educate the children. Please implement one tablet per teacher for all rural and urban teachers immediately.
