In the past few months we all have worked in conjunction towards making Tumakuru a Smart City. The citizen feedback received in Stage 1 and 2 of this Challenge have been carefully analyzed to articulate the vision, goals and prioritized Area Based Development & PAN City projects proposed in the Smart City Proposal.

As part of the process for Round 3 Citizen Engagement, Tumakuru City Corporation is inviting everyone related to Tumakuru for your feedback as well as valuable suggestions on the proposal.

Buildings are oriented to the street- and parking is kept to a minimum, located below ground or at the back of buildings.

We tried to use the most current data as possible. However, as for reasons of data availability we also had to include older data, finally ranging from 2001 to 2007. Furthermore several datasets were complemented from other sources by individual research by the project team so that we finally could achieve a coverage rate of 87 % for the 70 cities by 74 indicators. The complete list of indicators is available in the annex.

The inclusion of national data was necessary to broaden the database but also because very interesting data is available on that level.
