In the past few months we all have worked in conjunction towards making Tumakuru a Smart City. The citizen feedback received in Stage 1 and 2 of this Challenge have been carefully analyzed to articulate the vision, goals and prioritized Area Based Development & PAN City projects proposed in the Smart City Proposal.

As part of the process for Round 3 Citizen Engagement, Tumakuru City Corporation is inviting everyone related to Tumakuru for your feedback as well as valuable suggestions on the proposal.

that we can cope up.In Tumkur city the police officers have to cope up with all the traffic signal activities and in between it.

For these reasons three knock-out criteria were elaborated in a first selection phase on the basis of the Espon 1.1.1 study. Additionally, the fact if a city is covered by Urban Audit – a European wide database on cities – is decisive for the benchmark as for reasons of data availability. Hence 94 cities remained.

The city is highly compact and dense, making the most of land within the city. Buildings are clustered together, forming walk able and inviting activity centers and neighborhoods.
