In order to create a safe environment I think we first have to look to what makes a neighbourhood. One of the most common crime in India is rape and sexual harassment.
I want to share a few ideas which can possibly prevent such crimes. I will give you some of my plans

I Avijit Sengupta do work at Bakreswar Thermal power plant,Birbhum,WestBengal. At First earnest respect from my heart.I want to draw your kind attention about the road NH 60 (from Morgram to Baleswar) is passing through just besides this plant.Suri is the district town of Birbhum just 11 km far away from here. The road is main communication of northbengal from here. The road condition is very poor ,not only that there is a requirement of flyover near Suri to avoid long traffic Jam of Truck.

Suggested steps- 1. Start educating children about laws related to child protection and safeguards provided by the system. This must be done right feon the school level just like sex education has been started. 2. State sponsored 24*7 residential schools must be opened at mass levels in order to ensure holistic child development right from primary till senior secondary level. 3. National Commission for Child Rights must be immediately formed with units at state and district levels.
