Namaste!
In the first place, hearty appreciations for the YouTube channel initiative of CSIR-NIScPr. The contents are crisp and unique and shall reach wider audience with the impetus given in the local languages. Here are some suggestions as solicited (via the MyGov.in portal) ‘to restore faith in Traditional Knowledge/ practices with Scientific basis’. Kindly find them attached as a PDF file.

Respected Sir
When we were very small mother used to give us small lumps of turmeric power in the morning to swallow with a glass water. Sometimes she also gave orange peel paste to swallow. It was terrible but she said they would kill the pin worms. This continued on and off till we were of school going age. I, on the other hand consulted the allopathic Dr and gave my children No worm solution. Modern mothers have no time for traditional practice but still grand mothers believe in traditional knowledge and it really works. Years back in Koraput I saw a young girl using the soft soil on the river bank on her face and body. I stood there looking at her in wonder. And years later I bought multani mitti in packets to use it as facepack. While we were staying in a hostel, it was a common practice among the girls to mix sandalwood paste and turmeric paste or gram flour and curd paste to use as facepack at night. I have seen my brother using gram flour and curd mixture to get rid of dandruff.

Now a days everyone is looking towards modern sector for their children's future but no one is looking towards our inherited wealth.
The reason is us... we have neglected our professions and traditions...
We have given free plans so that no one can do their work...
We should try to create awareness among the people that the former glory should come again.
" It is our responsibility to protect our professions and wealth''.
Thank you.

Two of the oldest living languages are of Indian origin. The seas of the south has connected us from the ends of europe to the Philippines islands. We are the only nation with an ocean named after it. Yet accomidatve in spirit and United in mentality. Thanks to the epic of mahabharatha, we will still be United in diversity. Our biodiversity and spices are real nature's miracle . From food preservation to disease cure. We have sensible leaders who lead us these 75 yrs of independence inspite of arbitarary division by british.

I would like to bring out few points regarding our traditional practices:
1. Usage of turmeric as an anti-septic, anti-viral, and anti-coagulant agent. The anti-cancer properties are also brought about in the recent research findings.
2. Use of neem, pippintaku for skin diseases.
3. letting children and also adults do suryanamaskara a traditional practice that can take care of our D-vitamin and also use of ghee in our daily foods so as to get our daily intake of good fat, vitamins and to improve our memory power.
4. Giving girl children sweets made of jaggery and sesame to meet their essential allowance of iron and good proteins.
5. Many of traditional practices like making rangoli using chalk powder and cleaning courtyards with cow-dung traditionally are to make the houses insect and microbe-free respectively.

we are having lots of herbal trees which are helpful for curing high risk diseases
but are unknown about the uses.
When I had attended the botanical garden in kashmir I have seen lots of herbal tress but the problem is that no one is able in explaining the benefits of the plants there which is young in age i.e. today's generation.
Only some old (1-2) people explaining about the plant.
I had seen plants there which are helpful in curing diabetes, BP, and cancer also.
There are localities who made perfumes which are helpful in Insomnia(Persistent problems falling and staying asleep) which is common in this digital era.
But we are not utilising our natural resources fully .
And the same case in another botanical garden as well, the purpose behind botanical garden refused by people.
They came to hinder here and there or else we are seeing love birds there.
Better not to talk about it.
