India has a rich legacy of practices and knowledge touching different spheres of life and a scientific heritage traversing various Science & Technology (S&T) domains. The traditional knowledge of India is available in various forms such as classical texts, manuscripts and/or as oral communication that has been passed on over thousands of years. This valuable knowledge is often part of our daily practices as well. Some of the traditional practices are livelihood means of the concerned knowledge holders. Our traditional practices exist in synergy between human needs and nature, often balancing resources and requirements in a local context. However, with time, India’s Traditional Knowledge Systems are eroding rapidly, and the nation has also been witnessing erosion in people’s faith towards our traditional knowledge. A grave concern is the mindless attitude of some to mimic non-Indian cultures and disdain for our traditions. It’s important to recognize that traditional heritage is an integral part of any country’s development and progression. This calls for necessary attention and action from the concerned stakeholders in the country to build further on our scientific inheritance. Only a well-informed and balanced society can drive the advancement of the country.

Under the visionary leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister and President, CSIR Society, Shri Narendra Modi, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is spearheading the efforts to collaborate with the relevant partners from across the country and implement the national initiative SVASTIK (Scientifically Validated Societal Traditional Knowledge) for communicating India’s traditional knowledge to the society. CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR) is the nodal organization to implement this national initiative.

The prime mission of the initiative is to conserve scientifically validated traditional practices, and instil confidence in citizens regarding the scientific values of our traditional knowledge/practices.

We invite the suggestions of academicians, researchers, subject-matter experts, students, NGOs, and the public on how to instil confidence in society about our traditional knowledge and practices. This will help us in our mission to inculcate a scientific temper and instil confidence in citizens by stimulating the Science-Scientist-Society connect towards our traditional knowledge and practices.

First Step : All the National Importance Training institute of IAS, IPS, Railways, Police etc ., should have a course on the Traditional KNowledge & Practices . Step 2 : Large training organisation in Private Sector for Job esp. TCS, Infosys should have course on this alongwith their Training. Step 3 : All Colleges need to have course on this . One paper needs to be for any stream It may be highlighted that even India Stack will soon become unique to India and would become India's knowledge . Why should we not start a course on this as well. What about National Academy on India Stack? What about PhD on the subject ? We lost our Traditional Knowledge as we did not INstitutionalise our knowledge and created frameworks to put it in practice.

Culture is our background , it's a background of India. these days in the name of modernization and westernisation our kids and youths are not so much aware about our tradition and culture but if started from beginning of school days a curriculum should be designed about the culture and heritage of India. Programs showing our rich heritage, ancient art & craft, ancient dance forms, trade system, policies made by ancient rulers and many such things must be shown on television.

We should share knowledge to everyone.. as education is the most powerful thing. Yoga is the oldest and best treatment to body for every age person, by performing yoga one can prevent so many body disorders and problems. It's as old as Sanatana. Today our honourable Prime minister made it possible to celebrate 21st of June as International Yoga day. Everyone should perform yoga. It's a medicine for all.

elevision & Internet is influencing the youth of the nation more than any else. TV daily soaps must be made about documentaries depicting Indian culture and values. Programs showing our rich heritage, ancient art & craft, ancient dance forms, trade system, policies made by ancient rulers and many such things must be shown on television either in form of documentary or television serial. This will develop the feeling of love & respect towards Indian Traditional Values in the minds of today's Indian Youth.

I Dr J. Hari Hara Reddy submit that knowledge is power. It can create or destroy peace. Lord Buddha left his kingdom for knowledge. Gandhi made Ahimsa as a tool for freedom. Yoga became international yoga day by Modi Ji. Energy is life and eternal delight. Power makes men slaves, Mining investors deviated our Lalla, Brahma Gupta, Bhaskar Acharya etc. efforts for perpetual motion machines, now prohibited and considered as impossible but they are called Indo Persian machines. This is our SVASTIK. Energy shortage is a disaster. Its imbalance political system and leads to wars. Our actions are our miseries. UN needs solutions to control violence, deaths, injuries property loss, to protect our environment and peace. Indian efforts with these ancestors thoughts and modern knowledge are solutions for UN ROAD SAFETY DECADES and UN DECADE OF SUSTAINABLE ENERGY FOR ALL   These are traditional and modern. My articles can keep 1000 families remain in peace daily.
