Train the children from a young age to save electricity. Switch off unused lights and unplug appliances when not in use. Regular maintenance of appliances will keep it running energy efficient. If possible apartments and individual homes can opt for solar energy to save energy costs. Individual buildings don't leave space around the building for natural light to come through. Solar panels could be installed in homes for common lights or for appliances that consume less energy.

1. Air-dry clothes: Instead of using a dryer, air-dry your clothes when possible. This not only saves energy but also extends the life of your clothing. 2. Reduce water heater temperature: Lower the temperature of your water heater to save energy. Most households don't need extremely hot water for daily tasks. 3. Carpool or use public transport: Consider carpooling or using public transportation to reduce individual carbon footprints and energy consumption associated with personal vehicle use. 4. Smart power strips: Use smart power strips that can detect when devices are in standby mode and cut off power to reduce phantom energy consumption. 5. Plant shade trees: Strategically plant trees around your home to provide shade, reducing the need for excessive air conditioning in the summer. 6. Energy-efficient windows: Invest in energy-efficient windows to improve insulation and reduce the need for heating or cooling. 7. Limit water usage: Conserve water by fixing leaks.
