Stop ironing of clothes
The practice of ironing or pressing of clothes is wasteful and needless excercise, is it not? There is no value derived from this wastage of energy and time. It is ony a cosmetic aspect, not a real value adding activity.
If we stop this practice, would it not save us tremendous amount of energy that is otherwise wasted? Irons are often high energy using appliances, or even coal based. The entire process is simply heat generating and distributing, for an improvement only in looks.
And there is hardly much risk to livelihood in this change as this is a very low earning sector. We can help such persons do something more useful for the planet.
Thanks
Vivek

sir, union Territory of Jammu kashmir is facing shortage of electricity during winters and most of the time snow causes lot of problems in restoring electricity in the hilly areas and every necessary action comes to stand still. I think it is better that if floating Solar park is developed in the wullar lake, the largest fresh water lake of Asia and in the waters of Dal lake, so that green initiative is launched to conserve the solar energy and tap it for many sectors to develop in a robust manner.

Quick Tweaks with Big Impact:
Power Down: Turn off lights and electronics when not in use. This includes TVs, computers, and even small appliances like phone chargers. Consider using smart plugs or power strips to easily control multiple devices.
Unplug the Phantoms: Standby power from idle electronics can add up. Unplug chargers, adapters, and other devices when not in use.
Embrace LED: Switch to LED light bulbs. They use less energy and last much longer than traditional bulbs.
Wash Wisely: Wash clothes in cold water whenever possible and air-dry them when weather permits. Run dishwashers and washing machines only when full.
Cook Cleverly: Use lids on pots and pans while cooking to retain heat and shorten cooking time. Consider a microwave or toaster oven for smaller meals instead of the full oven.
Adjust the Thermostat: Lower your thermostat in the winter and raise it in the summer. Every degree can make a significant difference in energy use. Consider a programmable thermostat to a
