Also the public transport in Hinjewadi area almost does not exist. Hence people are encouraged to use their own vehicles. If this trend could be reversed and the roads are planned in a better way, it could lead to a massive savings in terms of fuel and it would be directly reduce the fiscal deficit since India imports 90% oil. Majority of the roads are encroached by hawkers at main junctions. There are no dividers. Traffic police encourage people to take wrong side to avoid traffic. Its a mess.

Hinjewadi is touted as the Silicon Valley of Maharashtra, But the infrastructure in this area is absolutely pathetic. About 2-3 Lac vehicles daily pass from this area in single direction. All this vehicles waste precious fuel because of waiting in traffic, roads full of potholes. If 3 Lac vehicles are even able to save Rs. 40 on a return journey daily, it translates to a saving of 1.2 CR daily & 24 CR monthly. You are in power at Centre as well as in State. Please act now and make a difference.

Dear Prime Minister,Housing Policy ought to have a concept of sustainable community living that is affordable and viable for different segments of population.Salient features of such a policy ought to have :1.Planning must precede a thorough resource mapping of water and electricity availablity 2.Sweage,water,electricity,telephone,internet supply lines be laid underground prior to construction of buildings 3.Houses so designed should have scope for access to solar energy.cont..
