Today's Mann ki Baat was too great and standard. Myself as a professor(teaching 18-21yrs students) always tell them the same thing.
One more thing I want to suggest is, now a days students of all ages are very busy in using social networking apps(facebook or what'a app)wasting their precious time on chatting. Actually, they can collect good information from them but they are not.
They are my views. If there can be a discussion on the same by continuing this thread.

DDA should order CGHS to give the roof rights for the people owning top floor houses for use other than a permanent construction so that the space can be maintained for roof top gardening that can keep the top floor houses cool from top . It is also essential to help these house owners take care of the leakages and seepage. This will reduce electricity consumption and also increase the greenery in the concrete jungles.

We should have few policies for all housing projects like
Recycling of kitchen water for flush and toilets,
Compulsory solar lighting for common areas and also emergency lighting.
Use of night soil for generation of bio gas for running of generators for Electricity.
All these cost nothing as compared to the total cost of housing but yield good results towards energy and water conservation.

Recent developments in Noida where the builders are not giving possession to houses.NGT is holding the possession to be given on pretext of 10 km radius near okhla bird century. Why the builders been allowed in first place to construct when any restriction was there and what is the logic to stay possession when house are build and customers already spent their hard earned money. I was hopeful that the new gov will look into and help us get our houses.

Sorry to say that most politicians & few corporates entities live on slums or live for slums to make money..which is very evident in most of the slums are created and SRA is started made huge crores of rupees on that shown to the world that we care for the poor by constructing very poor houses for the slum dwellers. willingness & good intention don't go hand in hand in all these SRA projects..we need to relook on this areas holistically.

Design of housing should be such that minimum are for maximum utilization. Use of Bunk bed type of staggered structure for sleeping, which can be folded, so that daytime it can be used for other use. Increase height may give more area above the normal height for other uses.
