The Government of India has been formulating National Housing Policies to provide guidance to the State Governments to meet the growing housing shortage. The first every Housing Policy was announced in May, 1988. The National Urban Housing and Habitat Policy (NUHHP), 2007 is currently under force. A copy of the same is available at http://mhupa.gov.in/policies/duepa/HousingPolicy.2007.pdf. It is desired that the existing policy be revised to reflect the changes in the past years and taking forward the objective of “Housing for All” by 2022.

In this regard inputs are elicited for new “National Urban Housing and Habitat Policy, 2015” on the following:

1. What should be the role of Government of India in promoting “Housing for All” by 2022?
2. What should the State Governments do in achieving the said objective?
3. What should be the role of ULBS’s?
4. What role can the State Housing Boards/Corporations and other state entities play in this objective?
5. What are the key learnings from Urban Local Bodies in implementation of housing programmes?
6. What role can the private sector play in “Housing for All” by 2022?
7. What is the role of industries?
8. What should be the role of individual?
9. How to mobilize financial resources for this objective?
10. What kind of legal and regulatory frameworks are required to facilitate housing in general and “Housing for All” in particular?
11. How can more urban land be made available for housing?
12. How can linkage between employment/livelihood and housing be made more robust?
13. How to promote new building technologies for faster, robust, sustainable and environment friendly homes especially mass housing?

Dear Mr.Modi Keeping in view the changing socio-economic parameters of the urban areas and growing requirement of shelter and related infrastructure ,The role of the government should be G as a 'facilitator' and 'regulator

Dear Mr.Modi My view on National urban housing& Habitat policy are as follows Invariably, India is a land of villages but at the same a lot has changed in the urban scenario of the country in the last five decades, the increasing pace of urbanization has played a crucial role in the development of the country but at the same time, it has led to the emergence of several challenging problems for the nation. In this scenario an urgent need is required for focusing on Urban Sector development.

We should Make an International Institution in India, say banks for any Asian around the world, or asian security force, or asian security council, etc. Places best for such institutions:- Highly recommended- Makum (historically known as the meeting place visited by Afghanis British Chinese Thais) which is near Tinisukia, a future smart city Recommended:- Kolkata(have a lot of space) Bhopal Port Blair kavvarati Not much recommended but can be good:- Kaniyakumari Chandigargh Guwahati

Budget - Given our high inflation low social security economy, suggest Fixed Deposits should be tax-free if maintained till maturity. For premature withdrawals one can charge a nominal 10% tax on interest at the time of withdrawal (apart from bank's penalties). People who plan and save for specific events (like retirement, children's education) are unnecessarily penalised for prudent / responsible practices. You need large sums from savings for development work but policies don't seem to support

Newspapers reported today about "Tax Free med expenses cap may be hiked". While medical reimbursement for serving employees are tax free upto 15000/-now and expected to be revised at 25000/-, private citizens without medical benefits have no such tax advantage. While 80DDB gives tax relief for special diseases for all, Tax paying private citizens with general age related and lifestyle ailments have to spend such medical expenditure themselves without any tax benefit

Budget - If you add all taxes across India - Central, State and local bodies it works out to 20 to 25 lakh crores. This works to an average of 15 to 20 thousand per person (every man, woman, child) per year i.e. 1200 to 1500 per person per month. My maid servant / driver does not get a crocin free. Where does such huge money go? We do not have good roads, schools, hospitals. Salaries are supposed to eat up a lot of the amount. Suggest a tight Citizen's Charter needs to be enacted at the earliest

Urban Housing Should Be The Facilities Of Electricity,Water Supply And Waste Collection. This Will Be Achieve By Introducing Green Building Concept For Lighting Andventilation And Water Sumps For Water Supply And Composting From Biodegradable Waste.

no park but farm house prepare for morning walk. food and vegitable should grow in this green area. If tree plant than that tree which give fruits or gum or nay usable items

Few space reserved for animal and birds. Kitchen waste should also dump here. This way kitchen waste will disposed. Animal and birds will also eat the food. and happy. Clean india will be possible. I am open for detail discussion.
