Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) is making all efforts to make citizens comfortable by giving them all infrastructure available to them. The Achievements of NMMC as known to citizens are mentioned below:

• High per capita income and cosmopolitan population
• Higher Education Institutes- Engineering, Management and Medical
• Major industrial area across Thane Belapur Road
• Biggest trading APMC
• Part of Proposed Knowledge Corridor
• Two big Infotech parks and presence of major players in these parks and outside
• Planned Urban Development
• Picturesque coastal area and very green Parsik hill
• Local dialling with the commercial capital

The objective of the consultations with the Citizens of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation is to motivate the people to get involved in the process of development of city into SMART CITY taking advantage of above schemes & to know the views and concerns of the stakeholders about the city. Their views and suggestions will have major contribution in formulating the vision for the city. This is an effort to connect YOU as a citizen to your local Government.

Your responses shall help us incorporate your inputs and emerge as a winner in the list of 10 cities that will undertake the smart city journey from Government of Maharashtra. Ideas are sought related to smart governance, smart information, smart citizens, smart mobility, smart energy etc. which are ecologically friendly, technologically integrated and meticulously planned with a particular reliance on the use of information technology to improve efficiency.

Please protect mangroves as it enhances the beauty and avoids soil erosion. Irregular parking on residential service roads (3-star hotel Kharghar service road) is a menace which NMMC should look into. Spitting and garbage littering should be penalised. NMMT,ST,BEST,MSRTC bus, local train ticketing, RPF staff should be counselled for polite behaviour towards public Navi Mumbai smart card (Plastic money) for buying bus and train tickets. Removal of Political Hoardings

नवी मुंबई शहरामध्ये सर्व सुखसोई आहेत. परतु नवी मुंबई शहरामधुन इतर कोणत्याही लगत च्या शहरामध्ये जान्यास आवश्क्य ते चांगले परिवहन (transportation) सुविधा उपलब्ध नाही.

Inorder to travel from the western railway to the central railways there is a lot of difficulty as there is very less frequency of trains and we have to wait for almost 30 - 40 mins inorder to catch the train. The thought of travelling from Navimumbai to mumbai always feels like a major task thus travelling should be made easy.

Please also preserve greenery in nmmc area because , They prevent drought and cause rainfall. They help in checking environmental pollution like, air pollution, soil pollution etc. & trees also are a natural medium to prevent soil erosion. They give us oxygen to breathe in and absorb the carbon dioxide. So, we should promote forestation.

पाम बीच रोड वर रस्ता ओलांडताना अपघात होतात त्यासाठी पादचारी पूल बांधल्यास अपघाताचे प्रमाण कमी होईल.आणि लोकांना रस्त्याच्या या बाजून त्या बाजूस जाण्यास सोईस्कर होईल.

Efforts should be made to make the footpaths and walkways free from hawkers. Also proper parking facility should be carried forward inorder to prevent parking of vehicles on the roads. The idea of smart city is a very good initiative but basic amenities should be available to the local public at economical costs. Also mainly the local train facility, its connectivity and the frequency of trains needs to be improved thereby reducing the havoc and hassel in trains.

It is very difficult to cross the roads during pick hours so there should be underground sub ways to cross the roads. Also NMMT buses comes very late, many times we have Waite for 30 to 45 minutes on bus stop, so there should be good public transportation facility so that people can reach there work place on time.
