Sir, can't bank go to them and get it opened. The NGOs, banks like "SEWA", also help to make it grand success for this noble initiative.and BANKS have a normal argument they don't have enough staff.I have personally helped some house worker to open an account.

Very often, we are talking to a wall, not even a monitor.
Trust is not forced, or even purchased , it is begotten, and this universal rule needs no 'authority to remind' ourselves.
For meaningful suggestions to reach, there needs to be a clear gesture that it really gets heard. Not all are 'as-dedicated-as' Modi ji, as yet.. Maybe there are a few even more-dedicated,, but unnoticed!
I gave a suggestion 30 years ago, it was received, but I escaped a notice! (Now what ever it conveys to you!

Zero Bal Accounts have tendency to become defunct due to absence of any transcations going forward. To encourage activity in the account Banks may be permitted to permit Overdraft for small sums say upto Rs 3000 in all satisfactorily conducted Accounts after 3 monts of its opening.A bench mark of minimum 3 transactions per month(debit or credit)could constitute a stisfactorily operated Account. This would enthuse customers to tranact ensuring the Account opening does not become an end itself.

A very good initiative by Govt. of India. Here is some suggestions to make it more practical.
A. The Block Development Officers along with secretaries should ensure the implementation at grass root level, as they have record of each every persona in villages and local panchyats.
B. Option of opening accounts should be in Post offices as they have better penetration in remote areas.
C. Small incentives can be offered for personals who promote the scheme by adding members.

There are still millions living in huts on road side or as site workers who are yet to get bank account. One bank in Baroda took 5 days to open it for our made servant. even still she has not got that INSURANCE POLICY. pl need to advise banks to come out of their cocoons.

Respected PM,
I think we can produce private agency network to open an accounts at primary basis as Mini bank concept. We can distribute a wide network of as Mini bank franchisee of the nationalise bank.
It results to improve an entraprenureship in young generation and gives work to their hands.

Banks may also tap into the Indian railway network as well as the bus transport network to increase its customer outreach. For instance, small deposit collection and payment centers can be opened in the premises of railway stations and bus stations. They could also tie up with cell-phone companies and utilize the world's largest cell-phone service network to provide cost-effective service to the customer.
