The number of employees should be increased as soon as possible. The shift method should be used and banking hours should be extended. A separate body should look after the NPA. Technology should be up to date. Since a 10 year old can now open a account in bank, schools should play important role in encouraging the sense of saving among children. Financial Awareness should be taught class 5 onwards.

More flexibility should be ensured so that they run as profit ctr. Any and every activity assigned by govt must ensure profitability of banks. The recent charges on ATM withdrawals is decision taken without any economic understanding and will lead to useless expenditure by banks on installing new atms without taking into account opportunity cost.

the useless pressure created for schemes like Jandhan Yojna will ensure that PSBs never improve. Improper placement of people, ppl fm north posted to south and east to west makes good staff leave and join pvt sector banks. Without proper treatment to staff and improving the systems and proccedures enabled by technology, talking abt improving performance is nonsense. The manupulation at the higher level and the un necessary pressure created must be examined.

Bank is not profit making industry, it is service industry so customer should get maximum service by paying service charges. Maximum use of ATM is done by lower income people so it should not be chargeable. Instead of that area wise and people density wise number of ATM should be limited. Service charges of operating that area should be divided to all the banks

all the banks of india especially sbi should accept deposits from customers through out the working hours of bank i e,.they should not say the customer that there are separate timings for depositing money to other states and you can deposit the money only if you hold account in this bank,

The work pressure at the PSBs and under staffing makes it hell to workin PSB which leads to drain the good staff. Inspite the wage revision due for abt two years the govt is not serious to look at it and asking for improving performance is all useless propoganda. Without change in working conditions of staff and pay in consonance with the risk involved in the job its not gona to happen. Proper use of technology and proper checks and balances to safegaurd the customers and staff is must.
