Being a PSU banker myself I believe the best way to improve their performance is to make our salaries at par with central government employees. This will act as an incentive and more the efficiency of the staff particularly youngsters manifold. Also the government should consider our demand of 5 day week. This will have double effects. On the one hand it will reduce burnout amongst the employees and while on the other hand it will reduce the expenditure of the banks.

PSBs are struggling with far below staff strength. Employees are paid very less in comparison to the responsibility they owned. First of all strengthen the asset of service industry I. E. The working conditions, salaries etc. In PMJDY they proved themselves now the ball is in government court. Don't discourage them. Pass a bill to empower the bankers with administrative powers in case of loan defaulters.

TDS/Service Tax and other type unproductive jobs added to Banks should be removed. Filing of number of return in compliance with different govt guidelines should be eliminated. for good and effective working. Treasury operation by PSU banks by means of lending money among themselves, trading in investment made by them for better profit, paying commission etc must be stopped. As Govt is responsible for good health of PSU Banks, all such unproductive means should be scrapped.

Corruption in banking sector in sanction of loans to be removed by making fresh credit facilities and also making law against defaulters which may provide strict punishment to defaulters. Also pressure lending from different ministries particularly finance ministries to be stopped. Npa control will give relief to bank employees and they will give better services

First of all salary of psu bankers should be equal to central employees looking to job responsbility, risk involved and work done by psu bankers beyond office hours. Regulated working hours and posting near to home may also increase efficiency of psu bank employees

Improve HR policies in PSB's. Stop arbitrary transfer's and evolve a transparent transfer and promotion policy. Focus on training and skill development of employees. Merge PSU banks and let 3-4 bigger and efficient banks operate and compete freely with private banks.
