Suggestions Invited for Monthly themes to be taken as part of the celebration of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until ...

As a run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, citizens will be encouraged to take up creative activities each month. Every month a theme would be taken up until October 2, 2020 from October 2, 2018 onwards. Mahatma Gandhi in his seminal book, Constructive Programme Its Meaning and Place had talked about 18 constructive programmes. He had stressed that more programmes could be added as time passed. The 18 constructive programmes included: Communal Unity; Removal of Untouchability; Prohibition; Khadi; Village Industries; Village Sanitation ; Nai Talim or Basic Education; Adult Education; Women; Knowledge of Health and Hygiene; Provincial languages; National Language; Economic Equality; Kisans; Labour; Adivasis; Lepers ; Students.

By involving the above 18 themes in 18 months, six more months would be remaining.

Ideas are invited from the citizens on six more themes to be taken in six months. The ideas should be relevant for our contemporary society.

Those who submit the best themes could be given certificates

Namaskar Modiji, my second suggestion is, can we make it compulsory for some hotels in each city to open there toilets for public. Govt can give compensation to these hotels in form of tax relief. They should put sign outside there hotel that Toilets are open for Public. They can maintain it and will get tax benefit in return. If we do this people will not use roads for toilets and we do not have enough public toilets in any city but we have lot of restaurants which we can use.pls make it happen

Dear Modiji, Namaskar. I would like to make few suggestions. First - we need green India to avoid any problems for our future generations. Our Govt is building roads, roughly 15 kms a day. Can we give responsibility of planting trees to road builders who take the road contracts. they can plant small plants and take care of them, that will be there responsibility. We as citizens do not mind paying 1 Rs. extra for toll if road contractors use that money to take care of trees besides all N.highways

सरकार और हर एक नागरिक और व्यक्ति को अपने पास पड़ोस में होने बले अपशिष्ट पदार्थ के प्रति स्वं और हर एक नागरिक को उसकी जिम्मेदारी के प्रति जागरूकता का प्रचार प्रसार करना चाहिए ।पर्यावरण में होने वाले अपशिस्ट पदार्थो की वृद्धि होने से हमारी ओर हमारी बायोडायवर्सिटी में कमी आएगी जो हमारी पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र में हस हम अपने आने बले पीढ़ी पर पूरा भर डाल देंगे जो बो संकट में पड़ जाएंगे ।हा प्राकृतिक संसाधनों को उपयोग करो पर उनको अपने नवाचार से उनको और अधिक बहुमूल्य बनाकर काम संसाधन अधिक आवश्यकताओं को पुरा
