Only through systematic planning of railway network can India achieve really good network of railway and not by just saying 100% FDI investment. We do not want railway network build without taking future or environment into consideration. Design standards should be uniform and all high speed trains should look and run like one network not like this belongs to xyz company.

First need for government is to have a clear plan on how it wants to add modern hightech train system while keeping this old system in place. Like I suggested earlier like golden quadrilateral and plus sign like our highway grid. Govt can plan and form a grid of fast railways and then ask foreign and local companies to construct on BOT basis. Govt can decide on per km fare uniform over the whole grid and then lend tenders.

Please remove the unnecessary documentation like application to be signed by college or school for discount on railway pass. They should be replaced by showing ID Cards of the college or school or other document like marksheet or school fee receipt and get the pass. This procedure of getting stamped by college is waste of time and not necessary .. Please do some thing to avoid and make it hassle free procedure.

There should only ticket with barcode printed and there should be ticket scanner on platform. So there will be no need of tocket checker like foreign countries. The end user can scan theire ticket on entrance of platform after that the door should be open and close. So the passanger entry will be updated as departed on computer system so the waiting list of next station can be updated as soon as passanger scanning theire tickets.no one can enter without ticket on platform

Like golden quadrilateral. Integrate the whole India along Major cities of India with Bullet trains or trains upto speed of 400 km/hour. For this govt. should acquire land along existing highways and run parallel to already formed highways. This will need govt. to acquire much amount of land. First have a plan layed out and then invite different companies to participate like highways on BOT basis. But govt. should have clear idea or vision in terms of its railygrid or expansion.

The condition of the tracks should be of world class at least all the tracks in the cities and metro cities should be provided the boundary wall like DMRC to avoid any unauthorized entry on the tracks which will minimize the accidents.
