Please eliminate unauthorised vendors,beggars,enuchs from north bound trains.Also,dont allow unreserved ,fine paid passengers in reserved compartments.Keep toilets clean.Increase the speed of express trains at least by 5-10 km/hr.Improve food quality by IRCTC! Each train in India must have the Display systems in each coach for showing the station info with voice announcements and also must be equipped with CCTV surveillance to control the Thefts,Robberies, and any illegal activities. The Security Personnel in the Train has to watch the CCTV and if they notice any alarming activity they can control it immediately. So that the passengers safety can be improved so that the passengers may sleep at nights without any fear. CCTV sys are cost effective

MY EXPERIENCE IN RAILWAY IS NOT GOOD. I AM SENIOR CITIZEN AND FREQUENTLY TRAVELLING FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER. RECENTLY I WAS WAITING FOR KORBA SUPERFAST ON PLATFORM NO1 OF RAIPUR JUNCTION ON WHICH THE TRAIN IS SCHEDULED BUT AT THE ELEVENTH HOUR THE PLATFORM CHANGED TO PLATFORM NO. TWO. THIS CAUSED VERY DIFFICULTIES TO PASSENGERS ESPECIALLY THE PASSENGER LIKE ME A SENIOR CITIZEN. TAKE IMMEDIATE STEPS TO STOP SUCH HARRASSMENT.

I am very grateful to railway department and IRCTC for properly maintaining the websites. I can now do tatkal ticket easily using my mobile also. A year ago, it was next to impossible to get it done through website. We use to run for travel agents or stand in long queues from 6am. Train information like running status is also available with great accuracy.

Kolkata Railway Station is well build, but staff there is very very un-supportive and rude. they behave like Railway is their property. Specially Inquiry counter staff is so rude that they don't want to reply to passengers about running position of trains.

I think more than enquiry & ticketing (which are being managed well now) we need to use our railway platform screens to pass on messages & knowledge & information via short films, animations, advertisements to fellow citizens (it will reach urban & rural masses) The topics could be Cleanliness, Population control (advantages and consequences of over & under population), Focus on National Heroes in sports,defense,bravery.
