OMG !! I was waiting for this.I am from Chicago.I am Illegal immigrant in USA. I wanted to renew my passport so I went to Chicago embassy. They are so rude, mean and they treat me like criminal. Government in USA doesn't care but India embassy treat me like criminal. I went to embassy 5 time to get my passport and they gave me for only two year. As I Indian citizen why I get hard time ? If I gave $3000 to someone they renew passport without going embassy for 10 years. Please help us here.....

Another very important thing that our Indian officials need to be told is to be polite. They are very polite to westerners but are rude if the client is Indian. This is a very common observation.

Sir, I do not know the state of the embassies now after you became the PM, but before that web sites were very outdated and instructions difficult to follow. For example we need a step by step instruction page to create a PIO or renew the passport. Also the look and feel of the websites need to be improved when we Indians have such an amazing IT industry.

Indian embassy in Qatar has queues lasting for 2-3 hours in the morning for submitting documents and then 1-2 hours in the evening for collecting. Elderly people have to go through this harassment everyday. Considering huge Indian diaspora i would expect embassy to outsource some of the work or open couple of more centers. It takes one whole day to get a small thing like attestation done.

I had visited Con. Gen. Of India in Munich, Germany only twice. Once to apply for a new passport and next to collect it. They were very friendly, and the service was unbelievable that I even felt if am really in Indian embassy. They sent email and sms alerts about my new passport status. I will be very happy if all govt offices in India work in a similar fashion. Last week, my Indian friend had to apply for a new passport and even he was very happy with the services offered. Thank you.

The Indian Embassy in Tanzania is terrible. It is embarrassing and shameful to see how poorly it is run. The staff there is untrained, uncooperative and unfriendly. I'm sure a lot of foreigners have a very bad impression of India when they visit the embassy. Action is needed quickly.

Called the embassy in the US for my passport renewal. The tele- executive was inefficient to answer my queries. And so had to visit the embassy for clarifications. But I should say, had a satisfactory experience. Kudos ! I would want to request to enhance/improvise the call center operations abroad.

Indian Embassy in Oman is not at all active. They don't actively take issues faced by labourers. Staff think they are like small kings.

For PIO Indian Embassy/High Commission along with Ministry of Tourism should organize budget cultural tour of India in which Delhi, Kolkata, Ayodhya, Varanasi Mathura must be included. Mumbai,/Chennai and Agra can also be considered additionally.

Indian High Commission in Denmark needs to really to add more staff as it takes more than 8 hrs to get a visa to Danish citizen, whereas the Chinese high Commission takes only max 3 hrs to issue a visa and it is embarrassing & annoying to hear from my Danish business partners. I believe if we want "Make In India" campaign successful than this harassment to wait for 8 hrs to get a visa needs to change immd & I hope MEA will take this seriously otherwise Indian companies will loose business. tks
