In an earlier piece here I had put forth my humble suggestion that to ensure that more and more youth come forward to attain Skills, it is imperative that in every city the Skills Centres are opened at spots which are convenient to approach by the intending trainees. WE MUST NOT EXPECT THE YOUTH TO ATTAIN HIGHER SKILLS AT THE COST OF THEIR PRESENT VOCATION AS THIS IS A SORT OF LUXURY WHICH SOMEONE COMING FROM EVEN MIDDLE-LEVEL STRATA CAN'T AFFORD, FORGET LOWER LEVEL WHICH IS HARD-PRESSED.

Though late, it has instilled a sort of confidence among the youth, things have started moving in the right direction on the ground.
