Children are always encouraged to collect stamps as they get an opportunity to read up information about different countries, traditions, cultures, famous personalities, history, events, scientific inventions and more. Bookish knowledge is always boring and stamp collecting is a refreshing new way to learn new things. Stamp collecting is not only simple but also is affordable as well. All you have to do is hit the nearest post office and check out the latest stamps that are out. Stamps can be neatly and safely collected in albums and will not take up much space, unlike other collectables for example antiques or anything like that. The urge of collecting stamps makes you feel like connecting with people from around the world. Stamps are generally collected by children. Many grow up and do not find ample time to continue their hobby. But nevertheless, they are emotionally attached to their stamps. Stamp collecting inculcates the values of orderliness and a sense of responsibility.

Stamp Collection is not only a hobby. It is an Art to collect stamps on different theme and do research on it. It represents our history , culture , art and heritage etc. In short if we say it represents the whole universe with official importance. In layman language , " Agar hum kisi bhi pic ko apne album me sanjo kar rakhe to wo sirf ek pic hoga par whi pic hum stamp ke madhyam se rakhe to uski kuch aur hi baat hogi kyoki wah ek khash awsar par jari kiya gya tha aur uske piche bhi history hai." There is a lot of places in our nation where we cant reach but due to stamp we can collect the memory of those places in terms of stamps. Our nation is full of freedom fighters who sacrifice their life for the security of our Bharat mata and contribute their work fot the betterment of our nation an we remember them through stamps and keep them alive within us. As per my opinion if we add philately as a part of our education then it will be more beneficial for student.

डाक टिकट संग्रह से हम अपने सामान्य ज्ञान का वर्धन करते हैं। सामान्य या स्मारक डाक टिकट किसी विशेष थीम पर विमोचित होता है। इसका विषय स्मारक, महापुरुष, लोक कला संस्कृति, सम सामयिक कार्य क्रम , सरकारी योजनाएं इत्यादि। इसके द्वारा बच्चों में क्रियेटिविटी तथा जागरूकता का विकास होता है। बच्चे उस थीम को आत्मसात कर लेते हैं। उनमें एक जिज्ञासा उत्पन्न होती है। साथ ही साथ उनमें सामान्य ज्ञान पढने की अभिरुचि उत्पन्न होती है। कला विषयों के अध्ययन में डाक टिकट संग्रह को प्रोजेक्ट के रूप में लेना विद्यार्थीयों के लिए बहुत ही लाभदायक होता है।

डाक टिकट स्टाम्प किसी भी देश का गौरव होता है। डाक टिकट संग्रह एक सुंदर शौक है। लेकिन विभिन्न प्रकार के टिकटों को एकत्र करने के लिए धैर्य और बहुत प्रयास की आवश्यकता होती है। मैंने 2015 से डाक टिकट संग्रह करना शुरू किया। आजकल के युवा इस शौक में दिलचस्पी नहीं ले रहे हैं वे मोबाइल फोन और गेम खेलने के आदी हो जाते हैं। स्कूलों और कॉलेजों को पाठ्यक्रम में डाक टिकट संग्रह परियोजनाओं को शामिल करना चाहिए और छात्रों को डाकघर ले जाना चाहिए और हमारे जीवन में डाक टिकटों की भूमिका की व्याख्या करनी चाहिए। सरकार को फ्रैंकलिंग पद्धति के उपयोग को कम करने का प्रयास करना चाहिए और डाक टिकट भी लगाने का विकल्प देना चाहिए। इसके अलावा सोशल मीडिया नेटवर्क और निजी कूरियर सेवाओं के कारण टिकटों का उपयोग काफी कम हो गया है। सभी को नमस्कार !!
