Smart City Proposal

Vision for Smarter Allahabad

Keeping in view the Heritage and rich cultural background of the city and city being called as “Oxford of the East”, abode of Prominent Scholars, Ministers, Artists and IAS officer, what is your vision for the City?

List three or four key issues in the city and prioritize for immediate action, to achieve the Vision?

Can you identify one solution for at least addressing two or three issues? (Smart mobility with ICT solutions viz., provision of Intelligent Traffic Management System and Multilevel parking. ICT solutions cover e-governance, 24x7 Potable Water Supply).

Allahabad should be developed likes city for Educational tourism. Students from various part of the country come here to become IAS IPS officers and to join govt . We should care for the quality living and quality food service to those who come to study here leaving their hometowns

Allahabad is a Hub of educational and IAS PCS ASPIRANTS Most of the Time these students have to live in very uncomfortable situations like small room and have to share because of the Cost saving Also these students never get quality food in the restaurants specially in Katra area .There should be proper management  and facilities for the Students coming from various part of the countries

The entire city has to be maintained neatly.I had a bitter experience as a physically disabled visitor to Allahabad in March 2016.There was no proper facilities for physically disabled passengers at Allahabad Railway Station. No mobile car or escalator didn't work.Roads are not good.An awareness campaign for public to keep their area clean must be made.Roaming of pigs & controlling rats has to be made.A separate area for buffaloes must be allocated instead of making them roaming freely on roads

Maintaining the city very clean. Banning all types of plastic items throwing on the roads leading to Triveni Sangham. Proper sewage treatment plant to recycle used water.Planting tree saplings to maintain greenery.Demolish unauthorised and encroched constructions.Provide mobile bathrooms for public usage.Banning burning of garbages.Creating awareness among public to maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the city.Banning spitting of supari & pan masala items on the road.

The concept of smart city is compatible only for less populated countries like Singapore. In India, it will disrupt the indigenous lifestyle and makes many people homeless and jobless as the roads have to be widened like never before. It is like pouring petrol into a diesel engine assuming that petrol is also a fuel.
