Municipal Corporation Chandigarh on behalf of Chandigarh Administration is organizing a mega event on 24-08-15 (3pm) to kickstart its citizen consultation process for Stage 2 of the "Smart City Mission" City Challenge. This event will be held in Tagore Theatre (Sec-18, UT, Chandigarh) where different stakeholders of the city will be called and they will be explained about this Smart City Mission. The residents of the city will be educated about how they can submit their smart views/suggestions. The Administration is co-ordinating with Doordarshan Chandigarh, Local Cable network & www.myGov.in web portal to webcast the live proceedings of this event. A "Citizen Consultation Booklet" has also been prepared which will be distributed among all the participants of the event, which has brief description about Smart City Mission and how residents can participate in submitting their ideas.
This event will be inaugurated by Adviser to the Administrator, Sh. Vijay Dev, IAS. Mayor Smt. Poonam Sharma, & Commissioner, Smt Bhawna Garg, IAS (Municipal Corporation Chandigarh), Home Secretary-cum-State Mission Director (Smart City Mission), UT Chandigarh, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Deepak Kumar, IAS (UT Chandigarh) & Nodal Officer Smart City, Sh. Danish Ashraf, IAS will also be present during this event.
Participants - All Municipal Councillors, all RWAs of Chandigarh (enrolled with Municipal Corporation), Senior Citizen Association, Nari Jagriti Manch, College Students of different colleges of Chandigarh, EWS Houses Association, Chandigarh Beopar Mandal & representatives of Market Associations.
