Condition of roads in most places in India is huge challenge. The traffic speed in most urban towns , cities and metros is impacted negatively due to this. Skill development on road building focused on a few target audiences can deliver large improvements. The focused audiences are : 1. Governement departments like PWD, municipalities who handle urban road repairs and building tenders 2. Contractors involved in these activities esp the small contractors who take the repair jobs ( contd)...

Lets government agriculture,roller and excavation machinery be used by villagers or mohalla committee at subsided cost during non use hours for community work.Department can trade the renting hours for community work.

Suggest 10 policy changes to spur skill development directly linked to industry needs

Dedicate learning hours and channels without ads for youth in village. Early morning hours(no TRP hours) could be exclusively dedicated for study only and no other channel would run except knowledge related.Either government reinforce this or channel owners reinforce themselves.Schools could be linked through TV channels. Villagers can participate in giving TV and battery as a loan for particular hours.This activity of channel owners could be part of CSR.

6.Place hawk eye on book worm PhD Certificates because its now so cheap to get so peoples are now in certificate race. 7.Conduct practical exams seriously & give emphasis on practical marks in result sheet compare to theory marks. 8.Appoint teaching staffs after properly check their skill level in all levels of education. 9.Govt. have to be maintain skill development programs according to industry needs. 10.Skill development centers have to be run by company & have to give employment by them

1.Fundamental oriented education (School Level). 2.Practical oriented education (Higher Secondary Level). 3.Live project based training in technical education. 4.Sate of art laboratory facility in institutes according their level. 5.Special professionals may be posted in institutions for skill development training in PPP mode. 6.The authority must have properly monitored the institutes to fulfill their criteria & performance & then they have to get recognition & affiliation.

1. Restrict specialized education only to the intellectually deserving. Creating scientists based on quota system does not help 2. Increase the institutions giving skills enhancement education (Diploma in plumbing, carpentery etc.) 3. Increase the number of new type of services (waste management, micro hydel projects, herbal cultivation, diploma in health services, certified priests etc.) 4. Number of government schools need to increase to increase the skill levels 5. Ensure participation of professionals currently working full time (make laws to mandate social service/sabbaticals by professionals. Unless enforces, business organizations will not let people participate) 6. Increase clean, eco friendly and localized cultural tourism. 7. Create community halls for local performances (give ta sops for local performances instead of shopping malls. This will create pools local talent and jobs) 7. Short service in army for handy jobs 8. Stress on e -governance and software product development
