If the law-abiding citizens are to be empowered, they need fast settlement of cases. As of 2011, about 3.2 crore cases were pending with courts. That can give a feeling of empowerment to only the criminals. In the advanced countries, technology is being used in Judicial and Law Enforcement for – Police training, web conferencing with accused and witnesses eliminating need for physical travel, fast retrieval of case and records, avoid wasting 2 hrs each morning checking if parties are present.

Every govt employee from collector to a clerk to a sweeper should have a govt issued ID with name and number that should be displayed on their shirt whenever they are on job, just like police. This information should also be displayed on notice board at their place of work with their pic, name, designation, email Id and mobile number. An online website should be started to get their reviews, demands for bribe, absentee, rude behaviour etc. this information can be used to prepare their reviews.

The same ticketing system can be accompanied by existing 24/7 high quality help desks (highly paid and skilled workers) which raise these tickets (like 911 in the United States); this help desk can act as a one stop solution for all issues and emergencies. In indian customs and central excise there is lot of corruption.I feel this can be reduced by bringing information technology and reducing man to man contact.Currently, the officer who assesses the Bill of entry knows the importer or his CHA so there is easy way out for asking for bribe. So i feel through IT we can reduce the corruption.Let us give a token number to the officer and the importer and all the documents must be filled online currently thsi system is there but there are lot of loop ho
