Digital access of every information is key to bring transparency in all actions/decisions. This will reduce corruption and lead to faster decision making capabilities of all functioning bodies/people. In other countries we see cctv cameras are installed at every location. We should also do the same. It will help to monitor the situation and criminal activities will also be reduced to extent.

Digitalization of government services - such as paying taxes, fines, managing cpf, ordering various id cards. Reduce waiting times, increase transparency. Singapore model is a great example (gov.sg). Introduce point system to motivate citizens to use the online system, which can be converted to train travel points, or government school fee points, or even medical benefits points. Process of digitalization would also create thousands of jobs. Old systems have to still be in place.

1st & foremost, govt website domains must be streamlined ending the confusion over nic.in / gov.in for example: Prime Minister Website must be: primeminister.gov.in India.govt.in Must have tiled interface with: (a) One block showing one tile of each cabinet ministry and linking out to that Ministry website (b) 2nd block showing one tile for each state landing to e.g. rajasthan.gov.in / delhi.gov.in, which shud hv one tile of each state ministry /depts /bodies That way usability will increase

To be really honest doing a best practice case study makes no sense to me. Technology is changing at a pace where best practices of yesday are archaic today. My one suggestion 1. Use mobile applications- Israel uses them for defence 2. NY police uses them for giving out messages 3. Used across the world for weather and other information 4. Mobile apps can be used to give relevant information on schemes and offers. Cost of smart phones is dropping everyday. It will soon be affordable.

Even if we have the resources most are incapable of utilising it due to lack of awareness. The first and foremost thing is that there should be proper knowledge about the use of digital media amongst people. This can be done by having some activities on "Introduction to digital world and its possibilities" from the school level. Some of the services that has been used globally and are suitable for India are - on-line voting system options & on-line portal for suggesting on bills and amendments

digitization can be used to check corruption at lowest levels where it affects the people, especially poor people. fit a recorder and camera on shoulder every police and other official dealing with public directly and frequently with direct link to satellite. if your camera and recorder is working, only then u are considered on duty. use these as evidence in cases of corruption against these officials who are holding india from developing into a corruption free state.

The republic of Ireland allows common citizens to participate in law making by submitting new laws for discussion in the parliament through a portal like this one. Can we have that in India please? Imagine if I could post new ideas for discussion at the municipal, state, central level sitting in my home.
